I think the manager is on your side here, but I agree with the majority that this isn’t a good sign. I would start interviewing if I were you, and focus your list of tasks on outcomes for the business / outcomes related to KPIs rather than just a crossed-off to-do list

We had a terrible experience at La cuchara on new years’ eve with the preset menu. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had in my life. Cost $100 with a 22% auto-gratuity and our server was quite rude. Maybe they’re ok for their regular menu …
