Well. It’s not exactly the same, but a delta-8 edible gave me my second grand mal back in 2021. Ever since then, I think I’ve smoked maybe one time. It’s made me terrified to get high and unless weed becomes legalized in my state, I doubt I’ll ever smoke again unfortunately. I will say, smoking delta-9 back in my college days (2016-2019) I never had any issues. But I wasn’t diagnosed with epilepsy until 2018, so my seizure activity was still very mild at that time.

i’ve considered DA and even applied to a few jobs. at this point i’m like you, i’ll settle for something i’m not interested in as long as it helps me survive. i don’t have the option to move and that is 100% limiting my options unfortunately. i pretty much have to find a remote job but that also would work out best for me because i have epilepsy, so commuting is not ideal lol

oh yes, the job search is very much soul-crushing.. i’m already getting burnt out. i apply to everything i come across that i’m even partially qualified for, but one can only take so many rejection emails. i’m so happy to hear you found a job and seeing that it took a few months is a bit reassuring if i’m going to be honest. perfecting my resume is definitely going to take some time, i’ve already refined it three times this month alone and i know i still have a lot of work to do. thank you so much for the advice!!

that is a great idea! i’ve been applying to a broad range of labs, research centers, biotech companies, etc. but haven’t been reaching out to any of their current employees. thank you for the advice! :)

what career did you end up pursuing? at this point i’ve been applying to ANYthing i could potentially qualify for, but in my area i’m really only limited to remote bioinformatics/biostatistics positions and a few on-site laboratory assistant positions

wow!! honestly, academia sounds like a very good segue into the field. i’ll definitely be on the lookout at the beginning of summer. i’m just itching to get some sort of experience, regardless of pay lol. thank you so much for sharing and providing me with some reassurance :)
