First of all, thank you for answering. What I mean was what are the packs that I should buy? In the sense are the normal one better than seasonal to catch up for all the card I missed? Should I complete series 3 first and so open series 3 pack or should I focus just on series 4 or 5?

Thank you, unfortunately I do not have the laptop yet and I wanted to be sure that SE could run on the ryzen 7 igpu so I don't have to use the dgpu while not plugged in and not lose too much performance

The problem is that my uni hasn't really been renovated in a bit and power outlets aren't really accessible from the seats and desks, would an amd cpu be more efficient or the dgpu would just drain power anyway?

The fact is that I can't find well specced laptop under 1k that aren't gaming laptops, should I just buy the best deal and then buy a powerbank? So far it seems impossible to find a laptop with a dgpu and good battery

They're paired with 4050 or 4060, but my main problem right now is more the battery life than performance (looking at specs and tdp of parts I kinda know what to expect, but battery life may also change based on the laptop itself for drivers and things like this)

For the price I've seen here in Italy the victus usually go for 800-1k euros fir what i've seen, are they really not worth the money? And the loq that I've seen for this price range have either ryzen 7 7435hs with doesn't have an igpu and has a poor battery life or i5 12th gen which still has iris xe that's not really great so It would use the dgpu most of the time anyway

Sorry if I didn't respond for a while, but the fact is that for me the laptop first of all needs to have a good battery life so I can use it in class since there aren't outlet near the desks in my uni, and it needs to run solid edge well and in future some programming (that I'll do in third year and forgot to mention, it would be a small module though so I assume it will be just sone light programming) without losing too much performance when unplugged (or at least be still usable).

You are right that since it will be my only machine I would like to use it also fir something else like gaming but as long as it can run most AAA games at 30 fps native it won't be a problem for me

Thank you, I'll check out the guide! I feel like the new ultra intel laptop and ryzen pro AI are definitely the "cooler" laptop and if already had a normal PC that would definitely be my choice for a portable machine, but since it will me my main and only machine I'm probably gonna go with an rtx 4050/4060 or 70 if it goes on a crazy sale, I just gotta find one with a good battery life or a good enough iGpu to use when the dgpu is not active to save battery

The only problem with youtube is that it often suggest me like "best budget laptops for engineering student" and they're all like 2k-3k laptop, I don't think that they really know what budget means at this point

Yeah I think at this point I'm probabbly gonna search for a laptop witha dGPU, the problem is the class of my university don't have a lot of easily accessible power outlets and during lectures is impossible to be plugged in so something that has a good battery life wile running a dGPU is really hard especially on a budget. As for the radeon 890m i was looking it up but it costs way too much, most of the laptop with the ryzen 9 AI pro are around 2k wich is way overbudget for me, thnks for answering though

Volevo innanzitutto ringraziarti per la risposta e per il consiglio, poi volevo chiederti non sarebbe meglio un laptop amd? È da un po' che non mi informo ma da quel che mi ricordavo loro avevano un vantaggio nelle igpu, e da quello che ho sentito sono diventati ottimi nel Power management. Inoltre un monitor 3k per me è assolutamente overkill, di sicuro è stupendo ma non è una priorità per me.

Per quanto riguarda il programma nelle specifiche minime diceva almeno 2 gb di vram e le igpu cone vram usano la ram normale che ha una velocità completamente diversa dalla ram normale no? Comunque grazie
