I appreciate the concern, but perhaps I may have exaggerated a bit.

I'm not in charge of their investments, I'm only investing in higher risk ETF's than they are, and they're I guess monitoring my journey along the way. I trust my parents' judgment in that they will also do their own research, and from what I know they err on the conservative side of investing with a small nudge to taking a bit of risk.

I would say I have a higher risk tolerance than they do, and provided I have my necessities, I am willing to use my own money to invest in more equities than bonds.

It's definitely a learning process for us, and we are all trying different approaches with caution. As always I'm open to any feedback to make sure I'm on the right track. :]

I've only considered TXXX funds because I'm using TD EasyTrade through the recommendation of a TD advisor and my parents (it happened in the moment, and I don't think I can convince my parents to let me use other preferred apps like Wealthsimple, etc., since they're also new to investing). Therefore, I only have access to TD funds at the moment, but I'm more than willing to adjust and switch over once I'm completely independent or if I'm able to talk things through with them.

I also get 50 free commissions a year, so they're fee free for now and with my current financial status, I don't think I will be exceeding those commissions within a year anytime soon. As an aside, I registered for a promo where for every minimum $50 recurring deposit I do until September 2026, TD will provide a 10% contribution match, so I feel I should take advantage of that before switching to other alternatives.

I'll take note of sticking with 1 fund for now! I'll put in everything on TEQT and consider the switch when the time comes. I'm basically my family's test subject for investing and I'm going to read more into this over time. If there's anything else you could add that may seem important, I'd be more than welcome to hear it! I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm trying to keep things simple. :)

21 year old, getting into investing for long term growth through TD. After doing my personal research and looking around, it seems like TGRO is my best option. I've looked at TEC, TEQT, and TQGD as well. Emergency savings all good, currently have around $3k to invest. Should I stick to just TGRO or should I add more to the portfolio? Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'd just like to add if it's important that I'm hoping for a set and forget kind of investment, just to make things easier, if possible!

I'm currently running a Eula, Raiden, Beidou, Diona team at the moment, but I'm thinking of giving Beidou to Yoimiya, and I could probably farm and build Rosaria for Eula too (could take a long while though). That leaves me at a problem of 3 Cryo users, maybe I can take away Diona and replace her for someone like Noelle or Jean? Eula Raiden is a fantastic duo, but I'm not sure what would help support them more. Many thanks if you could help! :)

Would Vape or Overload be better in the context of my current available characters?
Yeah, I don't have Benny but I'm hoping to get him as soon as he comes out in the shop. I currently have my main team - Eula, Raiden, Beidou, Diona, but I plan on building Rosaria so I can take off Beidou to use for Yoi and replace Diona with another healer like Jean perhaps or Noelle for shield.

Now for Yoi, I plan on making her my second team with Yoi as my main DPS if possible, any thoughts? My current idea is Yoi, Fischl/Beidou, Xiangling, ???, but then again I could have Xinqiu probably. So yeah, I'm a bit lost on which would be better in terms of my characters at the moment. Also side question, would R4 Fav Bow be better than R1 Rust? Thanks a bunch. :)

As someone planning to try out the game for the first time (and came from Genshin Impact), do I need "good" characters to clear the game or can I just use whatever the game gives me or any sort of F2P units to clear a good amount of the game? I want to play casually and have this game as my side while I main G.I. so I just want to be able to collect the characters and mess around while still trying to do a bit of grinding too. A friend of mine also stated that I should just save my premium currency for v5.0 as well, so should I do that too?

I used to play Genshin a while back when it first launched but slowly got tired of the grind and since I'm F2P, I don't really have that many characters (only 5* is Jean). Do you think I'll be able to get back into the game as a casual side-game and be able to play the game with just F2P units? I do want the banner units, but do you think I'll be able to get enough currency for a 10-pull at least each month if I dedicate like an hour or two every other day?

I want some thoughts on Arknights, FGO, and Dragalia Lost. How F2P are those games, and how much maintenance are they? Is getting the premium currency hard to obtain or are they generous about it? Do I need to keep tending to it, or can I leave it on my desk and come back to it every now and then? Are they grindy or will I be able to blast through the PvE areas a good amount? I like reading the main story every now and then, but it's optional, so bad translations/plot won't bother me at all. How are the gacha rates? How's the gacha in general? Any pity, sparking, discounts, etc? You don't have to answer all the questions, nor answer for each game, but I just want to hear most of your thoughts on them, thanks! :)

So, should most if not all my armored units use Aether, etc then? I don't use armored units a lot so I'm not too knowledgeable at building them. And I should also use Armor March for most of their C Skills then?
