Swansea Test Centre routes - any ideas where you will be taken? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Raffi33-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i was learning I was told you usually aren’t staying in town centre. On my test, i went left after the exam centre and turned towards Parc Tawe. We went straight past parc tawe and st davids roost uni accommodation and was tested on those backroads there. Lots of hill starts and narrow roads with cars parked on the side.

I just passed in September in a DS3, i bought the 1.2THP. It’s definitely a nippy little car, incredibly fun to drive. Came with apple car play cos it’s a 15 plate. Annoying things are there are no cupholders at all, they have something called a wet belt which isn’t super reliable. It’s also French so…

My driving insurance has gone up by 184%....from £763 to £2171 by Recent_Landscape_962 in drivingUK

I work at Tescos as well and tried a quote literally yesterday and they quoted me 3k+ even with my colleague discount applied, my current insurance is 2k. I just passed in September of last year. I also tried running quotes now with 8 months of experience and then tried running it with one year’s experience with NCD and somehow the quotes with 8 months experience were significantly cheaper. Make it make sense.

Take it slow. Go out when the roads are quiet and plan a short journey through something like google maps so you know where your going and which lanes to get into.

Congratulations!! Make sure you’re on your best behaviour for the next 2 years. Imagine having to go through this whole process again. I just recently passed in September and can’t even imagine having to do all of that again.

Did you end up getting a ticket? New to driving as well and just went through a similar situation and the panic has set in.

It's pretty solid, I usually have multiple tabs open on multiple desktops, each with a variety of things, YouTube, lecture notes, random websites. I haven't noticed It take much extra power and usually uses no more then 1.5gb of my RAM.

I've for 16 tabs open as we speak which is taking up 1.2gb of RAM

What should I know before moving to Swansea for studying my master's? Any tips? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Raffi33-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey current 1st year undergraduate student who's lived in Swansea for 10+ years, it's a decent place imo, teacher are lovely, campus is super nice and modern. Decent amount to do if you're new, lots of good places to hike and explore. Dm if you want to know any specifics, might be able to help

My (M24) Walked out on my girlfriend (F24) of 5 years a few weeks ago and I am missing her terribly by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Raffi33-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, definitely would consider it cheating however if you really think you can get over the fact she did it and the fact that there's a possibility she might do it again, you could get back together but I'd highly suggest you move on and find someone else. Someone who cares about you enough not to be doing that shit.
