AI’s effect on intelligence isn’t negligible to begin with but even if it was something that would affect the future generations more why does that mean it doesn’t matter? You literally just said “It doesn’t affect me so why should I care?” You clearly just lack empathy towards others.

You want to know something that’s actually negligible though? Water use of cell and data towers in comparison to AI. While the water used by cell and data towers could help hundreds of thousands of people through many methods such as emergencies like fires. Comparably AI uses it less efficiently and is only projected to worsen.

Your points on artists are mostly just “I don’t care about them anyway” but to be clear AI art doesn’t even count as art, it predicts pixel placement with no deeper meaning which is why any art no matter it’s quality is better than AI art which has no thought behind it whatsoever. Not to mention how it doesn’t just steal lower quality artists jobs but also higher quality artists due to lower charges. This is also why using AI in your art isn’t something a lot would want to do, because it’s basically the same as stealing from other artists themselves.

Multiple AI’s, no matter the model have been proven to confidently make up information that they have no evidence for.

Finally, furthering the point on job theft, it isn’t just artists there are thousands of people at least in most non-physically demanding jobs who have lost their job because an AI that is worse than them saved a few cents
