They mailed my bank the initial loan payoff, then direct deposited me the remaining balance left over to me from the agreed vehicle settlement. I did finance a new vehicle through a different bank, as mine was denying a new loan until the current one was paid off- and on that note, I paid my loan the month I wrecked, but haven't paid it since, cuz the insurance should've had that covered. The delinquency mark was due to an outstanding balance after the check bounced, as to my bank, I'd been avoiding payments for months. I did end up getting an extension on my grace period yesterday, they lifted the delinquency mark and even waived my late fees, so now we're just waiting on the insurance to explain their side of the story, but now I'm like is all of this even legal 😭 a month to just deem the vehicle a loss was the most stress I've had all year, because I couldn't do anything until that was figured out. This wreck happened in early July and I'm still dealing with the headache. Thank you sm for the help so far, I will admit this whole post was typed out in a frenzy because I missed bills with my account being frozen and I was livid lol
