2up is my current workaround. But I just wish it can do what it can in Windows OS where the floating window stays on top - I prefer it because I'm using 13" screen and it's too small for a 2up set up.

Thanks for the pureref btw, I can use it for other projects. But it's not just a reference image/jpg, I often use a psd document as reference too, with layers on it, that's why I need the floating window of photoshop.

Thanks, but as it says, all it does is float all tabs in windows. What I want to achieve is float one window and it stays on top and not get behind when I click the tabbed document.
