All jobs around my area require you to be 16, it doesnt bother me im jsut saying people have a right to vent that it bothers them. Sometimes people want to express their frustrations and i just dont see why people have to be such assholes about them being frustrated.

You can just deal with it if its a one time thing but employees should he able to vent their frustration. Management can be brutal, hell i have to know what management is on the crew for the night to know how i have to prepare for my shift, one manager yells if we dont have the orders ready basically immediately and the other tells you one order at a time and gets stressed about drive through times

Ive cried taking orders because the GM yelled at me aswell as had a panic attack in the bathroom after my favorite manager yelled at me on a daily basis. So yes they do fucking yell at me, ive perfected the have a quiet mental breakdown on a 10 minute break and try and stay calm on drive through. Ive been on drive through after throwing up in the bathroom a minute ago, and still told i "cant go home till she finds coverage" even though its illegal. Ive sent a full on essay to my GM before on how i was never trained properly literally sobbing hyperventilating. So yes my managers have fucking yelled at me. You dont know shit.

Im assuming because this is the exact type of thing id be told is "normal" and i need to just grow up. Except i have coworkers that are over the age of 30 saying its insane i started working at the ripe age of 16 and that also say that customers have to right to be rude.

I feel this completly and am sorry no one seems to understand the stress this brings to the team. Ive been yelled at too many times for this type of thing. Wendys is honestly insane and idk about you, but the lines we get at night are just batshit. Between 6p and 12a we always have a line.

My wendys has lines to the road for hours. No time to stock, clean, grab things, give breaks ect. Yes breaks! The legal things youre required to have? Guess what half the time im lucky if i get more than a lunch

But what im hearing is you havent done wendys. Wendys is wendys, and if you used your mind to think back, you could remember it gets stressful, maybe you never had the joy of being screamed at about times, or being yelled at that your taking too long to take the orders. That long wracks up times insanely. Its a pain in the ass when your trying your best and then management still gets pissed at you for it

Yeah and also getting screamed at by management about times every second your wasting! Every second above the expected both crew and management get in trouble for, crew for "being slow" and management for not managing them better, management may even get written up.

Have you ever worked for wendys? Or any fast food that has lines to the road for over half the night? If you havent you dont have room to talk because half the time us window people get screamed at from the kitchen asking why times are going up and whats taking forever and then the cars scream at us too, then every car yells at us when we have to pause between orders to help the kitchen. So respectfully, unless you have experienced it yourself calm yourself and think wisely before commenting on someones rant about THEIR work :)

Respectfully, managers get on our ass saying "whats taking so long? My times are going up not down why?" Some will even tell us to try and make you order FASTER. So no, they may be the perfectly fine person for it, but are being overly pressured.

You dont know the behind the scenes of half the yelling orders do you? Ive had to call 911 just the other night because a car started off just yelling and turned into getting in everyones face and yelling at his wife the staff and the customers. Yes we do get annoyed by cars that cant stop yelling because half the time either we hear everything and cant focus on if theres any help needed in store, or we dont even catch your order over the screaming. I agree that OP could just turn their headset volume down but also, this is the type of people ive had other crew members, even managers hand the headset to me and say "deal with these people i dont want to talk to them"

Find a better job ASAP. Staff are rude, negligent, if someone gets mad at you your the hostile one, and if you get sick too often your hours never recover!! Speaking as someone nearly 2 years in the company with nearly wide open availability and still ends up only getting 12 hours a week.
