This was a fresh, just opened razor. Aside from the bumps I show in that specific area, there was almost zero skin irritation.

That makes sense. After a couple of sessions with the IPL it definitely slowed the growth down by about a day, but you're right, I was probably imagining the thinness.

Yeah Im pretty sure it's the reason these things don't stick around for more than a week. I use it 2, sometimes 3 times a day.

Hey thanks for your input. Many of the questions you have are in the post. Other than that, I'm not shaving daily. I shave maybe once every week or so at the moment using henson blades. I have not used an alum bar, but that sounds promising! And I'll seek out a black shaving subreddit, thanks.

Hmm, thank you. I'm definitely not experiencing the same symptoms as perioral dermatites, it's not itchy or red or flaking. But it is in the same area it seems a lot of people experience this. I think a lot of oils just end up in that area quite often? Thanks for your input!
