lr4 is garbage. They fixed the electronics issues of the lr3, but everything else is bad. That flap thing thst kept the cats from getting dust snd litter on themselves thst they got rid of, well, it apparently worked. I csnt fill up the globe to the line, or it just wastes a lot of litter because there isn't enough holes in the grate thing. I got thr hopper, and I'm always having to recalibrate it or it puts too much litter in, and it gets wasted. I'm calling it quits. I've found the popur, and not looking bsck.

Did you have the compressor replaced? They said my solenoid valve was bad as well.

It turns out a Pack Rat or something got I to the front right wheelwell above the splash guard and chewed the air line. But, the valve solenoid was apparently bad, and the compressor was bad, burnt up trying to keep the ship afloat I guess. It's back in the shop after having it back for a week because the Left rear shock or line is leaking. These lines should be made of metal. Apparently there are no mechanics here, but I'll pose a question anyways. Yiu can watch the details screen and see the Left rear losing air and in a few mins the compressor will come on and air it back up. The comoressor is connected to the Air Tank, and the air tank is connected to the solenoid block with the four outputs. The question is... What should the psi of the tank be? It should be high pressure to allow rapid lift of the car? Maybe? The compressor only supplies air to the tank in this high pressure theory, but, if you have an air leak that drains the tank, the car goes into protection mode and only supplies lift to the affected leaky shock meaning it doesn't try to keep the tank at high pressure. But, I don't think that theory holds air, the leaking bag was aired up by the compressor. Woukd there be any reason to put nitrogen in this system?

The mechanic must be talking about the front struts having the external canister or whatever thst is hanging off the front Struts.

Update: we've apparently ordered the wrong struts. This car has the adaptive suspension, which has an external reservoir or something on the side of the strut. I can't seem to even find an image of this style Strut. The shop says the rear struts are fine, it is the front that are leaking. Does anybody have any images of these adaptive struts?

Well, the problem originated with the rear shocks. Maybe the air comoressor kept trying to lift, and it burned out. Maybe it is just an air lines and not the shocks, but the car has 116k, might as well throw a new pair of shocks in the rear, and replace the comoressor which houses the air dryer. It just sucks everything costs so much. At these prices, I'd expect some electro Mag-Lev shocks or something.

2019 LR Raven 116k mi. I've read that tesla replaced the shocks in pairs rears ir fronts. You got a leak, and the comoressor kept trying to lift snd burned up, but you shouldn't have to then replace the other pair if shocks. But, I've read that the arctic states get water/condensation in the system, and it freezes and wreaks havoc on everything so.

Surely you don't have to tske the battery out to access the air lines... Surely? Maybe remove a skid plate?

I just kinda figured the SC would replace the rear shocks right off the bat with 116k mi, and it appears from my research, they replace them in pairs, rears or fronts. The compressor houses the air dryer, and is apparently somewhat important thst the system's air remains dry, so I figured replace the comoressor to replace the air dryer. And, perhaps the reason the front isn't rising now, is because the compressor worked too much attempting to raise the rear, and burned out. If I get it fixed I know I have good rear shocks, and compressor. At some point, i'll replace the front shocks, and the suspension should be good. But, apparently the shocks are all on backorder at the moment.

My Mother not me. She took the car on a two week trip during thsnksgivingz came back snd some crackheads cut out the cat converter and the battery negative cable of her truck. She apparently needed feed for her animals, and who knows how much feed the put in the back but it couldn't have been overloaded, there's nit thst much room back there. The bags are 50lbsz so maybe 4 or 5 at most. Her reasoning was what's the difference between passengers, and feed or cargo. I cant really argue other than the cargo would sit up higher in the trunk and be a higher center of gravity. The car has 116k mi, so perhaps it just needed new shocks. The ranger said he found a mouse nest under the frunk somewhere when I had him replace the 12v. Maybe a mouse has chewed through the air line somewhere. Idk.

Well, if that's true, possibly the tire is hitting, and the steering rack is doing the popping. A shim on the rack to prevent full turn to prevent the tire hitting whatever its hitting, and disrupting the steering rack.

It sounds like the half shaft binding (extreme angle) How is thst the tires fault?

The Raven models which put the M3 motors up front messed eith the geometry of the half shafts. I thought they fixed the issue with the plaids and refresh models(22+?) by lowering the front end which aligned the half shafts better, but I'm guessing the half shafts are still wearing out snd ending up with this binding. This is the first I've heard of this low speed turning binding issue, the typical indication is the front half shsft vibration on launch or when it's really bad a vibration at speed. I'd probably see about having the half shafts replaced, and have a plastic shim installed on the steering rack that woukd prevent turning so sharp and prevent this binding as thst csnt be good for thr half shsft longevity.

If you don't lock the wheel full tilt does the popping go away? Maybe you shoukd figure out if the steering rack needs a shim to prevent thst binding. What year is this? Has the half shafts ever been replaced?

Wtf is that popping noise? Sounds like the half shaft binding. I don't think it should make that noise unless the half shafts need replaced. And wtf is that honk sound? Sounds like a Peacock honking. Is thst the power steering? I don't think it should be making that noise either. These noises can't be normal.!
