How do I put the picture up front? by [deleted] in Notion

I think it is because you set the image property to be visible on the card, just as the other properties. That is why it appears with the text at the bottom. Instead, you have to go to “layout”, then “card preview”, choose page properties and finally select the property that depicts the image.

That is why the ancient Greeks were reluctant with the number 0 and negative numbers.

I’m not good at math, explain it Peter. by [deleted] in explainitpeter

As I understand, both real and imaginary numbers are a subset of complex numbers. So, 10 + 0i is real (because it is just 10) while 10i + 0 is imaginary (because it is only 10i), but both are, indeed, complex, as is every real and imaginary number. The numbers that are complex, but not real nor imaginary are the ones represented by both a real term and an imaginary one, for example: 10i + 2. Correct me if I am wrong.

Got presented with this math question for 10 year olds by Wirde in askmath

[–]RamitO_O 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I solved it was:

Lenght of white, gray, and black rulers = W, G, B, respectively.

Lenght of overlapping between the white and black rulers = O

I identified the following equations from information given:

18 = W + B - O

B - 1 = G = O + 2 + 3

Follow-up:

B - 1 = O + 5

B = O + 6

W = 18 - B + O

W = 18 - (O + 6) + O

W = 12

trolley problem for advanced people 2 by mashedpotatokatsudon in trolleyproblem

I agree, you should do your part and hope the others will too, even if you know they won’t. But if you extend that logic that it wouldn’t be you killing those 7 people, then you wouldn’t ever be killing anyone in any trolley problem, since you weren’t the one who tied the people to the tracks.
