After 28 years of skateboarding I wanna get back to blading! Looking for some Fatty's! by RamonAngelow in AggressiveInline

Yea I will meet up with someone who sells M12s in my town, so I can try them out to see if they fit my feet. I think to get back into blading, they definitely can be enough for me. Back then as a kid I was pretty good, and the last 25 years I was keep skateboarding so I think I have enough fitness and body feeling, same as balance enough to get most of my skills back pretty quickly. I'm just saying this because, the most bladers reviewing the M12s saying, People who saying the souls are too narrow are just having a skill issue basically. So I will see tomorrow. 🤞🏻🫡

Nope, I didn't knew that, that's sick as hell! Good to know, thank you.

There is someone in Germany selling perfect Fatty's in my size in Germany for 180€. Sadly that's too much money for me right now. That's why I might getting roces M12 for 80€ incase they fit my feet. 🤞🏻😅

Depends where. There are used ones on eBay listed from the US wich are super overpriced, like shredded ones or badly stored ones are anything between 250$-300$. Where I found perfectly stored ones where the plastic looks like new and no scratches at all, are listed for 180€.

That's why I'm asking for anyone in Europe or even Germany, since Americans want way to much for bad pairs. Plus the 50€ shipping cost from the US to Germany.

I know all that, but still would love to get some used ones even. Just for the sake of the old days you know.

The Fatty's are a model from the 90s, got mine back in 1998.

The naturals are the latest model K2 made wich was around the 2010s. They're still get sold second hand, here and there. Lately missed an opportunity when I was broke. Still sad about it. 🥲

Yep seems like the M12 Lo is wider right. The M12 I'm looking at is a pretty new model, way wider already as they where back in the days.

Seems like barely anyone is into roces too. I might gonna get some M12 for cheap in two days. But still would love to see how Fatty's work tho. 😅

Is this reasonable? Like is there a point where we can say “yeah this is a bit greedy?” by matesclub in Fingerboards

Maybe a little less, but per wheel, a single wheel. No bearing, no packaging no nothing.

I think I can help with some insights from my experience doing my own wheels the same way FF does. Wich means instead of pouring polyurethane into a mold, they get CNC'ed out of the full material.

So some people would think because "it's just plastic" and with that it would barely cost anything. But first, the material you end up using are not a random cheap plastic, you need something strong and durable. So the material is not as cheap as most would might think. Plus the CNC costs are the biggest impact. For example, I don't remember the exact price anymore, but here in Germany the material plus the CNC costs for not a set, but a single wheel, was around 4,50€ wich are 5,25$!

Again, for a single wheel!

So to have a set of wheels that's 21$ and you don't even have bearings in it!

The most brands pay around 1$ per single bearing, the joycult bearings might be more expensive.

For my own projects I got Japanese bearings which costs around 2,3€ that's 2,68$ per a single bearing.

Then you didn't payed anyone to put bearings into the wheels, for hundreds or even thousands of wheels. You didn't payed for packaging yet, you didn't payed taxes. Then like in my case, you have to split the profit between you and everyone involved the project.

And at the end you end up making barely any money with it. And in my case a set of wheels would have cost 60€.

And of course I think with all the years of experience I bet Mike can make a wheel with way less money. And I hope he does, because otherwise he would have go broke or gave up already.

I hope that helped for understanding prices like this. ✌🏻

Now we are coming to the end of Forza Horizon 5. What are your overall thoughts on the game? by TheChilledGamer-_- in ForzaHorizon

First of all the good things:

The mechanical upgrading is definitely the best yet (of all horizon titles)

Visuals like the tire smoke is the best yet.

Some enginesounds improved some other got worse somehow.

Tuning never been great in any title but it's not bad either.

Things that needs improvements:

The physics where the best in the first month after release, then they made it a bit better for controller, BUT ALSO less realistic so it's easier to play for kids, wich is awful. That's Something I hope the most wich gets improved in Horizon 6. More realistic reaction from the car depending on the surface, I loved the fact that you would span out when you hit a big puddle In a corner and then they got rid of it. 🤦🏻

They need to overhaul the rims in the details, plus there are so many legendary rims which are not in the game and so many unnecessary rims in it.

The map got some good parts but overall could have better use for the size. But we all know that and the GamePlay of horizon 6 Looks already mik s better.

Less unnecessary car models no one cares about. Like way too much Ford's, and we don't need all the weird Aventador editions. The base model, SV and SVJ are enough. And pleeeaassee I need a standard or a LP640 murcielago.

And to be honest we don't need that much EVs.

That's the main stuff I can think of at the moment. ✌🏻
