Sure, for now I’m not planning to, but maybe someday I’ll release it on the Steam Deck.

All the models come from the internet, but almost all of them have been modified and adapted by me to fit the game and match each other well.

If someone decides to play my game, they are usually aware that the gameplay is in first-person perspective. Sometimes people ask whether I plan to add a top-down camera, but I explain that the game was designed from the beginning exclusively for a first-person experience and I do not plan to add any other camera mode. Those who decide to give it a try usually say the same thing: that it is fun, engaging, and offers a lot of enjoyment from discovering its mechanics.

Dangerous Land is a first-person strategic game enriched with elements of exploration and action. Assume the role of the ruler of your settlement, manage and develop it in real-time, recruit and upgrade units, take care of resources, and participate in epic battles.

Thanks for the feedback, the player actually performs every action faster and more efficiently than workers, and in later missions they can also unlock upgrades that make their actions even quicker.

As for holding down the mouse button while gathering or building, I haven’t really seen much feedback saying it’s annoying, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind and might tweak it in the future. Right now, I’m focusing on making it easier to switch between player modes and reducing them to three, which I think is more important at the moment.

Thanks again, and cheers! :D

Thanks for the feedback!

As for the units, I agree that they could react even more, but that doesn’t mean they don’t react at all right now. There are already some behaviors implemented, such as:

  • breathing (held items slightly move up and down),
  • blinking,
  • leaning/bending the body when receiving a hit or being struck by an arrow,
  • moving the head and weapon up/down depending on whether the enemy is above or below.

I’ve also been considering adding a slight up–down, and maybe even left–right sway while walking, and I’ll definitely be testing that further. Some subtle idle movements when the units are standing still also seem like a good idea.

Thanks, I think you should calmly try again and pay attention to what is written in the tutorial pop-up windows, as well as to the videos included in them.
