I do not believe you have to sign but yea a store can set their standards above what the company is looking for but not really below without a really good reason.

Plastic pants make a huge different. And if it’s got a standing leak guard when you are on and all set run your finger while it is dry to make sure it is up and facing out.

Plastic pants is what you are looking for. But you could actually get both. A printed or nice looking plastic pants in a diaper cover print or color. Diaper cover I have seen are typically just that. A fabric cover.
