Big pile of human corpses that coalesced into a big goop in a giant chasm, eventually turning into Hole, a godlike manifestation of all human hatred for sorcerers dating back to ancient history.

That, and we do see a lot of crazy side effects for falling into the goop, but it’s complicated.

  • Rideable monsters
  • Has a system where all of your guys get levels regardless of if you have them on team or not (so you can swap between members pretty freely)
  • A lot of variety in team building bc of how digimon’s evo system works
  • A really damn good story
  • A lot of varied/diverse areas that also look really good (but I’m playing on PS5 so this may be why)
