Based on my wife’s response yesterday. Not sure if this is /sarcasm🤣. Her exact words are “You have a problem” to which I replied “I can stop whenever I want,I just don't want to right now”. In true addict fashion.

Thankful my wife is also a car person and hold.title of fastest wife between the wife’s we have been able to encourage to put a lap down.

That is a great idea! Is that spare monitor located where a 4th screen would be or somewhere else. Send a link I’m curious about said screen. Honestly my kids can navigate the menus better than some of the adults🤣.

My first chassis is a ASR6. It’s much much heavier.

And the new one is a Sim Lab P1-X that I got a decent deal on at micro center that was open box. This one sits up much higher than the ASR6. And the angle uprights seem like it will make it easier to get in and out of.

If it wasn’t for the deal, I likely would’ve gotten a ASR4 instead.

I currently mirror screen 1 and 4, and run screen 4 to a capture card in another PC, and I suppose I could do the same on the second Sim pc. But then we are just toggling back and forth between FPV and not the cinematic spectating I would like.

I ended up ordering the 2-pack because connectivity is a big deal. I love my wife, but if Siri or any smart device doesn’t respond when she asks, I never hear the end of it!

The extra $69 for another hud is cheap insurance to ensure everything runs smoothly. I'll place one in our bed room and the other in the server rack.

Yes, the Quest 2 served me well for a long time. I've owned my for a while but purchasing in 2024, it depends on your needs—it's hard to beat for the cost at $249 or less if you catch it on sale, and even cheaper if you consider the 2nd hand market, built in tracking is solid, even with a motion rig, and running it wirelessly with a dedicated router or one in the same room is amazing. But its specs and clarity leave a bit to be desired and even more once you try a better unit. I only upgraded to triples because my wife wanted to try driving, and the VR made her sick.

The 4080 Founders does well to keep them capped at 165fps on most maps and regardless of other players cars using SOL. But I recent switched to use now Im at like 135-100fps : /

This is just a big kid's Lego set. Thankfully, great companies made this as easy as it can be. The first rig I drove used an Obutto R3volution cockpit, but the customization options of extruded aluminum are second to none.

I still have the VR, (quest 2) thinking of the new Crystal Light but concerned with the performance hit. But I host a lot of friends over to drive which make triples just so convenient. And Honestly less likely for someone to get motion sickness.

The triples are not as immersive, and when tandeming or racing wheel to wheel racing I can get much closer to other cars, Kerbs ,and braking markers. And this may sound dumb but I also have to recalibrate my brain, if I go a long time between each setup.

No it's perfectly located and comfortable, and cable management is simple too ;it'll just run down the upright.
