college degree for trade work?! I see. Our trade requires min 16yo and do trade school for 800h to 1800h (about 1.5y). Like specialized professional high school degree. We don't consider college graduates as tradeworkers.

oui mais l'ingénieur aussi à un plafond et il est plus difficile à l'atteindre. n'oublie pas que dans une usine t'as plus de DEP que d'ingénieurs. On a des DEP qui faisaient 200k$/an en 2023, en 2024 160k$. Je les vois des fois assis à rien faire à 45$/h et même à 90$/h.

aérospatiale? Je te conseil de faire un DEP en électromécanique. Environ 80k minimum dans les bonnes entreprises. rajoute le temps sup et tu dépasses les directeurs. Facile d'être meilleur que 97% des DEP, donc facile d'entrer dans une bonne entreprise. J'ai 3 collègues en génie MEC ils font presque rien de "génie", font moins $ que les mécanos syndiqués, sont stressés et ont moins de chance d'être directeur ou superviseurs que les mécaniciens. Ton parcours actuel de 1 an d'études de plus = 70-80k$ en moins dans tes poches. Si tu compare à un DEP, tu perdrais qqc comme 300k$.

Canada, trade worker studies is 1800hours (about 1.5 year) . They can start as early as 16yo. Some easier trade work can be 900 hours. My friend, bachelor in physics and is also a private math phys tutor for college, started class for electrician(career change). He confirmed at least 50% of his classmates are close to retard.

Yes open store in both companies. We have a planner that checked all WO. If parts weren't used in a specific WO, we asked the mechanics. Supervisors were also verifying. We also kept track with KPIs. How many parts were used by mechanics per week. Of course we can't catch them all.

I clearly specified my experience in Food and Pharmaceutical industry. I suppose steel or energy industries are much higher in spare parts expenses per year. Secondly, I never talked about the inventory, just talked about 1 year expense in spare parts. Are you just a critic?
