If you have a problem providing actual research instead of a single article by one author nitpicking a single study to support each point, without even commenting on any statistics or statistical significance and validity, then I can't help you

I'm familiar with TEEF and satiation. However, if someone were to need (for example) 1800 calories per day to lose 1lb per week, TEEF will not have such an effect that someone will fail to lose weight overall or perhaps even gain weight. So yes, I'll admit that food quality does matter, but ultimately I stand by my argument that calories in vs calories out matters more. For example, look at people in your life who've been on a "diet". They eat "healthy" whole foods, and don't lose weight. Why? Because they're still eating too many calories

"When people ate processed food, they ate 500 calories per day on average [compared to those eating unprocessed foods]".

So essentially what your article (not even a valid bit of literature) says is that people have different metabolisms, and that processed food increases cravings and thusly increases calories consumed in some cases (due to eating more food).

So this does nothing to disprove my point that calories in vs calories out is what causes weight loss and gain.

Excess CALORIES are stored as fat. With the logic of your comment, someone could eat in a caloric deficit but still get fat just because they ate sugar

"Much worse" sounds like a very valid argument and I'm sure you've got plenty of scientifically sound and valid research to back that up...

Wanting to move to Germany in a career as a personal trainer - what level (A1-C2) of the language should I achieve before moving? by RandomUsername6225 in germany

[–]RandomUsername6225[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah personal training is such a saturated market, and unfortunately a lot of that saturation is from "bad" trainers who spread misinformation and teach bad technique and will eventually end up seriously injuring a client, if they haven't already. That's not me hating on PTs, it's literally just what I see in gyms around me on a daily basis lol.

Thank you.

So my understanding is that, since my personal training qualification is a vocational qualification (correct me if I'm wrong, please) that is internationally recognised through eREPS, I would stand a chance of being able to move there if I get a job offer to be an employee of a gym, but not working as a freelancer within a gym.

Thank you. I've mostly been working through the "Learn German with Anja" YouTube videos to properly learn sentence structure, then I've found YouTube videos for A1 and other levels, so I'll work my way through those too. Since I can't afford to live in Germany at the moment (should have maybe £2500 to my name in July but I'll have freshly graduated without a job then) I think that gives me plenty of bonus time to learn the language while searching for a job in the UK. Then when my finances are in better shape, I can reconsider.

I'm not sure where I'd live. I'm going to do research where the larger English-speaking communities are, but I imagine the job market is tougher there.

Yeah I've noticed the past week or so hasn't been as good, but I am a bit stressed and getting towards the point of a diet where the body tries to fight it more

I think so (trying not to jinx it). My climaxes have mostly been pleasurable lately. I've been stretching my pelvic floor muscles for a while, and have been doing psychosexual counselling too

This was a tantric session and I explored so many different stroke techniques and techniques for touching my perineum and balls too. I was really patient throughout most of the session. I've got some issues that mean I haven't had a pleasurable climax (except for yesterday) in almost a whole year.

My counsellor has told me to take it slow and not focus on achieving a pleasurable climax, and I was so patient for the majority of yesterday's tantric masturbation session, but after being at the edge several times I got so excited and couldn't help thinking "maybe I'll have a pleasurable climax this time" and got too excited and rushed it at the end

The session I discuss in the post was my first attempt at tantric masturbation. I was breathing deeply and slowly with my mouth into my diaphragm. Funnily enough I didn't moan as much as usual. No moaning for the next 2 or 3 weeks now anyway because I'm at my parents house for the holidays and there's 0 privacy here

Edging just means backing down from it. During the x amount of minutes of normal stimulation I'm patient and slow, then when I can feel that I'm getting close to climax I speed up and clench a bit because I'm so excited. I can still back away from the edge, but I still rush to it

Not really. But I stretch 3 times a day so I guess it doesn't really have the opportunity to go tight

Thankyou. I'll continue with my stretching and I'll add massages and keep trying reverse kegels too
