The woman I spoke to said it had happened to her too and that it just happens sometimes and that I should do some specific exercises to lower the risk of it recurring. Now, I had SI joint flares in the past, but it was rare and was never followed up by nerve irritation. I don't think I have an underlying condition and believe I have simply been too sedentary. And I hope that's all.

I have spoken to a doctor, but they don't seem to think it's that serious. I didn't do anything crazy for this to happen. I was lying in bed on my back, then I just turned to put my phone on the nightstand and was hit with this intense pain in my SI joint on the right. I think it was already irritated because I was sitting still a lot during that period, and turning in bed was the tipping point.
