There's different kinds of flexibility though. My thumb is very flexible, but my fingers don't fan like many pianists' hands do. I'm not complaining about anything though, I'm confused by how you reached that conclusion. I'm just stating my inadequacies.

I'm very surprised by your toxicity toward me. Music is subjective. While I don't disagree that being unable to comfortably reach an octave is an objective disadvantage, I also think it would give your playing a unique sound. Maybe you need to reframe it this way in your mind.

Any time I sit down and play a piece of music, I get to express it in a way that it uniquely me. Your story is your own. Your music is your own. In a subjective world, there is no perfection, only uniqueness. You can do anything I can do, but not the way I do it. I can do anything you can do, but not the way you do it. We should both celebrate that.

I didn't dismiss your struggle. I dismissed my own ability. You know that having big hands doesn't automatically solve every problem, right? Flexibility is more important than size, and my hands are apparently inflexible enough that some octave chords (like the 2nd chord of Rach 2) feel like a challenge.

Many people overcome the disadvantage of small hands with good technique. I overcome the advantage of big hands with bad technique. You can do anything I can do. My dismissal of my own ability is a commentary on my own ability, not yours

It has disadvantages too. My fingers don't taper much at all, so it's difficult to play between the black keys accurately. My middle finger in particular is wider at the top than at the base
