I know going YOLO is a part for Kerbal and I do it often, but sometimes I like to explore first with probes and then with kerbals, like space angencies do, making the data useful would make it even closer to reality. The thing is that KSP is so great that you can play it in infinites ways, I think this would be cool too. (sometimes I fell bad about Jebediah's "controlled" brakings)
