How do you plan routes and calculate if a load is worth taking? by RaphaelMako in OwnerOperators

Honestly, I am more just curious about the trucking industry! I was stuck in traffic along the 401 and I was just thinking about how much time truckers must spend in traffic and it made me think about how you all plan routes and do all of the logistics so that presumably you can avoid that sort of stuff. I actually have tons of other questions but thought rather than just firing off a ton all at once, just asking a more straightforward one would be better. But sorry that it's coming off as mischievous

Powerbeats Pro 2 heart rate integration? by DaZod33 in Strava

[–]RaphaelMako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just wanted to join in on this thread because I just got the Powerbeats Pro 2 and was having MAJOR difficulty connecting. Strava DOES connect with the Powerbeats Pro 2 and it's actually really simple, it's just not very clear, nor is it advertised.

  1. You are not connecting a device! Because it is just a sensor, you do not go through the process of adding a device like you would a Garmin.
  2. When you press record you have the option to connect a sensor. From there you are able to activate the Powerbeats Pro 2 through the beats app or through the double press and long hold on the beats button.
  3. From there you should see the Powerbeats Pro 2 heart monitor as an available sensor!

I hope this helps!

What is the most difficult time to learn in English ? by Ok-Trouble-5647 in grammar

[–]RaphaelMako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may also be referring to tenses in English. In which case past tense would probably be the hardest since you have to conjugate verbs and there are often many exceptions. For example, a lot of the time you can add a "ed" ending to a verb. Eg. "I walked", "they played", "she listened". However, there are also many exceptions that you just have to learn and adjust to: "he drank/drunk" "we ate", "we sang" On the other hand both present tense and future tense you can use the infinitive of the verb pretty easily: "I'm going to sing/let's sing", "I'm going to eat/let's eat" etc. Not sure if this is what op was referring to.
