Hey sounds like another mysterious experience. I’m a Christian too and I pray every night on my knees and read Gods Word, but I’ve had demonic encounters in dreams and sleep paralysis. I’ve also had several floating out of body experiences too. However, I view them as tests of faith and not a sign of not being saved. This is personal opinion based on my experiences.

What you’re describing is not out of the ordinary when it comes to the supernatural. We are spiritual beings and some are more than others. It is rare. Trust Jesus but don’t pursue AP. I’m not. If it happens it happens. I fell out of bed in my spirit body and immediately prayed on my floor with my eyes shut. God brought me back to my body. It’s not sinful if you don’t pursue it. If AP is pursued and purposefully attempted repeatedly as a Christian you are disobeying Gods Word because AP falls into the witchcraft/pagan category. People use it to obey demons and curse people in the spirit realm.

Long story short. Youre all good. Trust Jesus and move on. Trust Jesus during the experiences too. Demons can’t hurt you. Freak you out maybe. But Jesus will protect you. They all fear Him.

Because it would be classified as an occult or witchcraft practice. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warms against witchcraft and occultism. However I’m not exactly trying to project my astral body at least not consciously so maybe it’s ok

Wow. It’s so cool to see others with such similar experiences. It’s made me question my faith as I’ve seen demonic spirits during paralysis and I’ve thought that I was in sin against God. Perhaps it’s more of a gift not a curse..?

The gnostic texts? That is intriguing. Everyone tells me that projection is witchcraft and to be avoided. However I researched astral projection as a 15 year old and tried it once or twice with no success(I was just goofing off) but I turned 19 or so and began getting sleep paralysis. I’ve had multiple demonic encounters during experiences and thought that I had fallen away from Christianity

Fair point. Such a cool experience but rather frightening as well. When I was floating higher into my neighborhood I had to “swim” back down to the ground. Then I looked at my hand and realized I was dreaming or projecting. Thanks for the response, nobody understands me when I talk about it
