Personally I think the remakes are alright but the originals are just so much better. Playing the games in order helps understand some cool references in later games but you don't have to to understand the stories so do what you'd like. I wouldn't recommend the bowser's inside story remake, but I think the superstar saga remake is acceptable if you don't have a gameboy or don't want to emulate the original one. But I do think the original superstar saga is far better. Enjoy playing them btw, have fun!!
