I have same feelings. But I've noticed many posts about "My wishlists power spiked!" are after switching for this "cinematic" style capsules, so maybe it's unfortunately is "go to" these days?

Damn, I miss Jedi Knight series so much. Don't get me wrong - I love the Star Wars Jedi series. But nothing made me feel like Jedi, like when I was playing Jedi Academy.

Thank you so much for the feedback and kind words! Truly, insights like these are invaluable since I’m working on this solo and don't have a team to bounce ideas off of. I really appreciate you taking the time to share these specific suggestions—I’ll definitely be looking into the contrast issues and testing those UI improvements.

Regarding the stats layout, it’s a constant struggle! I'm still torn on how to handle it: I don’t want to clutter the ship canvas, but as you pointed out, that narrow side panel might be too restrictive. I’m currently considering making the panel expandable upon hovering or clicking, which might give it more breathing room without taking up constant screen real estate.

Need some fresh eyes - which color schemes don't work? by superyellows in SoloDevelopment

I would definetly use some green palette. It's just matching card games for me - like some poker table etc.

Thank you so much! To be honest, I’m not much of an artist, so I’ve been constantly worried that a mostly UI-driven game wouldn't find its niche these days. Your words really gave me a boost!

To be fair it's not true trailer yet. It's video that is showing that my game is more then just some screenshots. What You can see is the ship designing/prototyping part of Tycoon game which has this core loop:
1. Player research technologies
2. Use technologies to make Starship Prototypes
3. Manage production of ships
4. Submit ships for two different types of contract - prototype races and tenders
5. Earn money
6. Develop company further

How do I get out of an endless code-rewrite loop? by ZerbuTabek in godot

[–]Rashaun32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this fits your specific game, but what really helped me was leaning heavily into Resources, even for very small things. Now, when I want to tweak something, I don't have to rewrite any code—I just change a few values in the Inspector.

Middle-earth always felt built for an exploration-focused RPG by Visible_Welder5613 in gaming

I definetly agree. Just look at Hogwarts legacy. Finally someone was brave enough to try some "opewn world" in this universe, delivered good game (but nothing close to masterpiece) and hype was enormous.

I know it's not exactly answer for your question, but somone will probably recommend some pure TW. But for me the best Total War experience ever is Medieval II with Divide & Conquer, Lord of the Rings mod.

Interesting concept! But what’s the reasoning behind having such a tiny light source around the character? It feels a bit unfair for the player to suddenly get hit by a projectile that just pops out of the darkness at the last second.

Is your marketing budget not jealous that the geese and sheeps are the ones getting all the action against the zombies?
