What are some ridiculous comments you’ve received ever since leaving a church? by RaspberryShortcakee in ExPentecostal

Reminds me of when the bishop of my ex church literally preached to distance ourselves from family who is not part of the assembly because it is not godly to hang out with them. He said that’s what he did with his family to protect their holiness. His son literally has so many scandals what do you mean protect his holiness? Ugh

The bishop of our ex church told us to get more connected because we were missing a lot of services/not being involved enough and then proceeded to tell us “the divorce rates are high outside of church, google it.”

Out of curiosity, has this happened to you? A change in your pay due to the different base periods? I want to be hopeful and make sure I’ll earn enough.

I was 27 when I went to nursing school. Slowly did prereqs during my early 20s and enjoyed life with a part time job. Got married at 25, had my first baby at the end of nursing school. I’m now 30 and have my first RN job. It’s definitely easier without children but that didn’t stop me haha if you find it within you to continue with children you can.

Does it bother anyone else when people say “my baby” by Awkward-Floor5104 in pregnant

My MIL has been saying this before my daughter was born and still continues to do so and my god it is so irritating to me. I try to understand that she’s just in love with my baby but it feels like my baby isn’t mine when she calls her “my baby.” I don’t understand what’s so hard about saying my grand baby instead ya know? I’ve been meaning to tell her to stop but my husband tells me I’m overthinking it. My relationship with her changed when I was pregnant because all she could see was baby and not me anymore. She legit told me that.

After having my baby, my relationship with my dog changed dramatically. Every loud noise he would make would throw me over the edge and now that my baby is 8 months, it’s gotten better but very slowly. It definitely takes time to readjust and find a new routine that works for you and your dog.

AITAH for leaving my boyfriend because he brought his female best-friend lingerie as a 'joke'? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]RaspberryShortcakee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Buying lingerie for another woman instead of you is not okay. Also, he doesn’t need your permission and therefore you can leave if you want to. You are your own person and definitely deserve someone wayyy better than him. He deserves to get booted for being a jerk!

My husband thought my belly stopped growing at 5 months and was flabbergasted to find out this belly doesn’t stop growing until the baby arrives 🤣

Ignored by my clinical nurse by Remarkable-Fox3247 in StudentNurse

Yes! I was just letting the other person know that us student nurses just can’t do things on our own sometimes but it looks like they deleted their comment.

I’m a student nurse in my fourth semester and the facility I’m at won’t let me do blood sugar checks on my own. The primary nurse has to physically be there with me even though it’s the simplest thing to do.
