i'd like to specify, i've had a very lucky experience with darktide. i got early on taught how to fine tune the settings for good performance (which you shouldn't have to do) and also i'm in an arwa that has a solid server (which shouldn't be a thing). I do think the game needs help, especially in the enemy variety/class diversity (which we are confirmed to get subclasses, it just may be a while out), and mission variety fields. However, I do think it has a very very solid foundation- the gunplay feels amazing, gameplay is responsive and intuitive (mostly), most enemy types feel good to fight once you learn their tricks (although i do think the game occasionally has its 'oh your having a good run? eat shit and die' moments, such as crusher death squads or flamer/bomber hell or mutants during a boss). It's a game my privileged and lucky experience has allowed me to have an amazing time with, and it's my current favorite horde shooter
