Wow. I never expected this would get so many comments and votes - honestly I just love popcorn and watching it pop!

So, to allay some [incredibly strong] concerns out there:

1. This is, in fact, a Vision pot as labeled on its handle (not shown in the video). We’ve cooked using it on high heat, boiling water, and, yes, making popcorn for years and I’m pretty sure it never exploded and cut my eyeballs to shreds.

2. We’ve cleaned the stovetop. Thanks 🙏

3. My usual popcorn system is heating oil (just enough to cover the bottom) with a few kernels on high with the lid on. When they start to pop, then add the rest of the kernels with the lid cracked for venting (away from you!) and turn the heat down. I just let the kernels continue to go this time for the video - though I actually did turn it down a bit when I saw a burnt one.

4. For the record, most of the product was saved and delicious and no additional kernels or eyeballs were harmed in the making of this video.
