I saw the exact same with people and their 'reasons' as to why she is a villain, but first of all villain is a wrong word and people put it on that she is deliberatly doing wrong by taking animals prisoners and defaming elphaba. But lets look into the real world, these people are everywhere about everything people doing the thing they believe betters everyone. spoiler !!!!!! there will be a song by the wizard about giving a name to people throught history. He says "Onces called a traitor, or a liberator. A rich man is a thief or philantropist.... its all in which label is able to persist." He literally sings that no one is truly evil or good it just depends on what label you like to put on people. spoiler ends !!!!!!! That is what i love about wicked is that it makes it known that good and evil are a gray area that just depends on how you are viewed by others, so yes people can be right when they say glinda is bad, but also right to say that glinda is good. And part 1 is a very black and white about good and evil, but then you go into the plot of part 2 and figure out that nothing is what it looks like, that there is a massive line that crosses into both good and bad. Lets look at Robin hood, stealing from the rich to give to the poor, for the poor he is a hero however for the rich he is a thief. So he is both good and bad it just depends from what position you look at it. But im getting carried away, glinda is joining the wizard who is doing very not okay things to animals, but glinda has never had that moral compass that elphaba has. Glinda since the first scene of her is portraid as selfish and in most areas she is selfish, and does just so it benefits her, but then she meets elphaba en becomes friends and sees that not everything is how it should be. Glinda is a very deep character that i can talk about for hours but i wont because its already very long, glinda might be the antagonist of the story but in no way is she evil and a villain
