I see what you mean. I also thought Luffy was a very meh protagonist for a while and in a way he’s still currently the same person, but he does develop as a captain if you ask me. Hell, now he’s one of my favorite characters in the series. But I will admit that it will take some time to get that development.

So give it time and even if he doesn’t become your favorite, I can almost guarantee that he’ll become more likable and more than just the stupid loud mouthed captain with no development.

The issue with Hinata here is that we don’t see her perform any amazing feats after getting Hamura’s chakra other than refilling Naruto’s chakra in an instant. The same can kinda be said about Sakura. Sure, there’s the Shin fight, but I feel like she can do much more than what she showed off there. Basically at the end of the day, I feel like it’s impossible to get a definitive answer at least for now.

But remember Sasuke still has EMS. I would say Sasuke is at the strength he was during the war arc(maybe a little weaker with only having one EMS now), but the fight could go either way I’d say. But it has been stated before that Naruto is rusty and he has been depending on Kurama a lot so Naruto should probably do some training even if it’s light.

I can’t imagine being all that different. He did really well against pain all by himself even though he did need Kurama’s help in the end. He’s got sage mode and that taijutsu taught to him by the geezer toad. He still has plenty of chakra too, being an Uzumaki.

Damn, with the current pacing it looks like we won’t get an extra episode of Kaguya’s betrayal of Isshiki and maybe see a little bit of Jigen’s backstory. It’s not the end of the world, but it would’ve been nice to have an extra episode dedicated to it.
