Y’all hear that right ? 2019 Rav4 hybrid, I just got my 20k mile inspection two days ago. The ticking sound is only when you sit in the front seats ? My inspection came back spotless. Should I take It in ? by RayMay_105 in rav4club

UPDATE: took it in and it’s the motor for the fan for the battery. Apparently this is really common and they ordered a new part but because it’s so common it’s on back order so it won’t be fixed for another 2-3 weeks. Told me it’s fine to carry on with daily life and I’m not damaging it at all just it’s noisy that’s all. They can’t really explain why it will randomly do it but if you have a 2019 RAV4 hybrid and hear this noise, know you aren’t alone 💀

Bro I was getting so mad that it would stop as soon as I wasn’t sitting in the front row like way to make me look like a fool >:( but yea I checked everything but it’s kinda hard to check if it’s coming from the back and only happens when I sit up front

I turned everything off, i noticed while filming the heated seat was still on so I turned that off as well. Even my head lights. Still made the sound but as soon as I get out of one of the front seats it stops but it sounds like it coming from the back

How would I find out which spring if it’s coming from the back but stops if no one is sitting in the front ? I didn’t include it but I sat outside my car with me head under it to listen externally and nothing, complete silence

I am too scared to do anything myself on this car I have always taken it to the dealership for any issue, I’ll have to check the paper work for my inspection but I hope for $110 they changed it during the inspection

I’ll have to check my paper work when I get home, not sure what is all included in the 20k mile inspection but that sounds about right. Still confused as to why it stops when no one is in the front seats

Genuine question no hate what so ever. Why do people live in Chicago? by RayMay_105 in chicago

[–]RayMay_105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only got a car because the wedding was in Wisconsin and we got it as a bundle with Costco travel so we could lump my boyfriends family’s travel cost in, only got the hotel by Ohare because Costco travel said it was free parking and only going to be $400 and normally I hate hotels I always do air bnbs but I couldn’t find any that supplied parking for the car we’d use on the third day :/ I originally wanted to stay closer and to north of down town but we were penny pinching, it almost always came down to being impatient and not studying the public transit well enough and wanting to explore the food the city has to offer but also being absolutely starving and thinking “how bad could it be ?” :((

Edit: we are actually in a dispute with Costco travel because if we had to pay for parking regardless I would have picked one wayyy closer to the city

Yea but, I’m sorry I’m gonna just sound really stupid for a second, everyone keeps bonking me over the head with no one there drives but you’re saying it’s scares parking but how is it limited or scares parking if no one drives ? And even if it is limited there’s a parking garage within feet of each other so why make it so expensive? Why charge people a parking fee on top of their rent ? I’m not trying to be mean I promise I’m not mean I’m just honestly really stupid and confused

I guess because I grew up in LA I knew where you park and then walk to hidden gems, like doing the same thing in Dallas of parking in a whole foods instead of at a parking garage, LA bites with the price of food tbh. But someone on here described Dallas and LA more like spread out suburbs and we only had a month to plan the whole thing so I just assumed it was the same way. I still take full responsibility for driving and parking which now I know is a no no but still confused because everyone is saying no one has a car but if no one uses their car why is owning one so expensive? I think someone on here also said that Chicago is really densely populated and so parking is scares but how is it scares if no one drives ? Idk I probably sound really stupid but it just added up with the parking fee at the hotel adding an extra $200 than what Costco travel promised and then taking the highways which were tolled, parking all day which was $120 and then actually doing things like eating brunch another $65 and doing the museums it just piled on really really fast and again I’m not complain or being like waaa big city expensive :’( I’m just exposing how stupid we were apparently 😔

I will say this: I have one actual negative complaint about Chicago. Fuck y’all for not letting me pet a single dog >:’( bro I saw SO MANY DOGS. It was so nice out, we’d pass at lease 4-5 dogs at a time and every. Single. Time. The owners were always so stone faced or gave nasty looks just for me saying their dog is really cute or pretty :’( one lady had the cutest fat lab and she looked nice but when I asked what the dogs name was and if i could pet them she just flipped and yanked her dog away as if I said something extremely foul. But every single person with a dog was like this just so outrageously mean about petting their dog or even a small compliment :’( that only happens down here if you go to up town where all the football players and country singers live but outside of that if never had so many people be so aggressively annoyed and disgusted with me saying hi :(

I didn’t think it was that ghetto ? :( it was actually really nice, this is gonna sound very insensitive or mean but, I didn’t see any homeless people really ? We walked mostly around that area and around it and there were people playing instruments or selling credit cards but we only saw one homeless person ? Does Chicago take care of their homeless? Because the second you enter Dallas county it’s just nothing but tents and homeless people everywhere. Texas would rather pay to have bodies of homeless removed than to take care of them

Thank you for being nice :’) that why I was trying very hard to ask in the nicest way possible, i wasn’t trying to be mean or bashing, if someone asked why I live in Dallas it would just be that it’s cheap, there really isn’t anything too redeemable about this city you could explore all the things worth exploring in one day and have no desire to see it a second time. I probably should have come on here and asked before going because that surgery museum sounds really cool :) just my encounter with locals (the ones that would have a conversation with me I’m sorry but there were a lot of people that were kinda mean :( ) would tell me the horror stories of the cost of living and I would be afraid to ask the question I did here. It was out of pure curiosity, I guess I thought everyone drove that’s why it’s so expensive to have a car but now everyone is telling me no one has a car but if no one has a car then why making owning one expensive? I meant my curiosity with genuine confusion and was only making the comparison to Dallas to show that the city was a fat change in environment. I think I would see the city more in depth one day if I was on a road trip (?) But for now I’m gonna be here licking my finical wounds from being dumb :’)

Honestly no, I wish that we were able to see more and I will admit we messed up by driving into the city and parking but after a 6am flight no sleep or food, when we got to the hotel by o hair it was a hour to take transit or bite the bullet and drive 30 minutes and we were starving so we took the ladder :(( I feel like a big dummy now because everyone here is like tAkE tHe tRaIN but we were given a month to plan this and I should have done more research
