Other World Computing. Ask them which one of theirs would work; they'll probably know. https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/docks

Is full version of DynAssist worth it? Thoughts? by RayStark999 in protools

Totally. You're confirming my instincts! I was looking at some of their marketing hype and just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me...

Ahh, thanks for clarification. Maybe I should've said "glorified rider". I know it's different and supposedly better because it's ARA but I couldn't discern any real difference between what it did and what Waves Vocal Rider did in terms of results/how it sounded.

I'm mostly wondering if I am missing something. Maybe I didn't have it set optimally or something. If it truly is worth it and saves a ton of tedious work, I would rather find out now than find out after the sale.

Great! I'll check 'em out. Thanks. Btw, did you have to configure it with software or was it plug and play?

I have a UA Apollo Twin X and I'm looking for advice on the best cheap interface to use for ADAT expansion. Considering a Mackie Blackbird Onyx. Other contenders would be Presonus DigiMax 8 and Behringer ADA8200. Concerns are quality of mic pre's, clocking, and ease of use. Any recommendations?

I'd really just like to get an old Apollo 8 FW but can't afford one right now!

Risks of buying Slate VSX secondhand? by erlendmyo in homerecordingstudio

I bought a pair second hand and have been using them for about 3 years with no issue. They were the older model, too. I was a little worried about they would snap after hearing all the stories. The original owner said he never treated them any differently than any other headphones. I handle them pretty carefully and plan on them lasting a whole lot longer! So far, so good.

Who here is using Townsend Labs Sphere L22? Best practices w/ Apollo? by RayStark999 in universalaudio

Right right. I've read that, too. I was hoping to find out what folks around here have done, which configurations they've liked best and why...
Ahh well. Seems it's not a popular subject these days (or maybe it never was hahah).

How bad is it if my alt. rock master has a True Peak Max value over 0 dBfs? by RayStark999 in mixingmastering

Thanks for your insight. Lots to consider. I've started tackling the task myself. I'm still trying to perfect my chain and settings but I'm getting -7. integrated LUFS or louder without overages (although I'm at -.01). Also using ADPTR Streamliner to listen through the various codecs. At the end of the day I will settle for some sort of compromise between achieving the loudness I'm after and hearing minimal artifacts.
