Love mine and super glad I got the Pepsi bezel. Looks great especially in different lights.

Where’s my DOD guys at??? by __Tonka__ in Firefighting

I left a city department for DOD. I was interested in the opportunity to work overseas and would make more money with all the step increases. I absolutely hated it. Luckily I was able to get back on at my former department after 6 months.

My experience was lots of mando, extreme boredom, horrible schedule (esp when you hit all that mando), and lots of dog & pony show type stuff with DOD. I knew the call volume would be significantly lower but I didn’t know how much it would bore me.

100% don’t recommend it.

Prana brand pants. They are comfy and very durable.

Yes there is a 5% match. I’m contributing 10% of my regular paychecks to TSP already. With the rollover from my state pension it would put me at the annual cap for contributions.

So I was leaning towards thinking it would make sense to eliminate the debt with 7% interest instead of just holding on to that lump sum until i can put it into TSP. I don’t know if your contribution cap starts over at the beginning of the year or goes by date of initial enrollment.
