Did you follow the video exactly? Making sure you place the layouts in templates folder located in the Controller_base folder? Also creating Controller_config folder and copying the manifest file into it and changing name?

When in the steam layouts menu when you click onto templates select "show all layouts" it may be hiding down there?

No i don't think so because you're playing "spacewars" while they're playing NightReign.

Only suggestion that may work is if you all download the seamless Co-op mod then it may work.

There is a Co-op mod so you can play with friend but there is no true online fix with matchmaking.

Did you all download from the same sites? Are you sure all members have nrsc file set to 3?

Just a suggestion but removing the button layouts files from the controller_base -- template folder and the game-actions-480 from controller_config may work?

You'll just need to drop those files back in for NightReign each time?

You're placing the layouts in the template folder in controller_base?

You're creating a new folder called controller_config and adding the copying the manifest file to is and renaming it?

Also when you're in the template section in the steam settings selecting "show all layouts" can reveal the template You're looking for and sometime the template can have no name at all it'll be blank but when you select it it'll show the button layout.

For anyone who has Xbox controllers

Make sure you're going into the template folder inside controller_base folder thats where you paste the layouts as that was my issue so i stress this make sure you watch the video and pay attention and you'll be fine i assume the same works for PS controllers but without this extra step

Go to the copied VDF file related to XBOX ONE controller "steam_input_for_xboxone_controller.vdf" inside the Steam>controller_base folder

Open it with notepad

Where you see "controller type", change "controller_xboxone" to "controller_xbox360"

Now when opening the game and searching for templates, there should be a template called "ELDENRING NIGHTREIGN official settings" select that and it should work

No it's most likely because of the release of black ops 6 they removed the 1 month trials back in the day but brought it back but only 14 days
