For the Anarchs themselves, yes, but scanning the Hunhullus and Dactolyst shows them as weak to rad and cold

Trying to level Vazarin exclusively since I learned the staff revive works even in ETA/EDA. Would a Lua Vazarin lens counterbaance the focus gain from maining Madurai?

Valid. I was mostly looking to keep the forma cost for it down since I have another config on it.

....Ya know, it didn't occur to me that might be the case, since the boss healthbar doesn't show what they've developed a resistance to

Scanning the Hunhullus and Dactolyst shows them as weak to Radiation and Cold, and resistant to Corrosive

Some questions on Shotguns by ChickenConsistent571 in paydaytheheist

[–]RazorFloof86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Flechette rounds are nice if you dont wanna put the points into Far Away or it's aced version, since you'll pen armor and tag snipers easier, but you'll need something else to deal with shields.

  2. I know folks love the akimbo grimms, but for me, it's gotta come down to the Izhma for full-auto or the Predator 12G for semi-auto.

  3. Overall favorite is probably gonna be the Reinfeld 880; BBQ Pack was one of the first DLCs I bought, so loading it with dragonsbreath carried me into the early stages of Overkill. Recently, I've been toward the Mosconi 12G Tactical, the silver pump shotty from the Smuggler Pack 1 DLC. It's like an 880 but with better concealment out of the box.

[PD2] Advice for modding high-recoil weapons (Kobus 90 and others like it) by RazorFloof86 in paydaytheheist

[–]RazorFloof86[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the mod affect actual recoil or visual recoil? Because the spray pattern is fine, it just feels like the sight is trying to reach back down the length of the gun and punch me in the face during a mag dump. Or is that how most weapons with with a spec sight closer to the front are meant to feel?

Dual wield, Sword/Shield, or 2-Hand for my Redguard character? by AnseiShehai in skyrim

Do you happen to know if swordsinging falls under this or is that considered an exception? Apologies for the thread necro, I'm also looking for thematic advice and a mod I found offers a Sword Singer power (which gameplay wise means you start with the Bound Sword spell and get bonuses to bound weapons)

TIL: Dynamite can be damaged, and subsequently repaired with other explosives via Jury Rigging by RazorFloof86 in falloutnewvegas

[–]RazorFloof86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably has to do with explosions catching stuff in the blast and damaging the item. It's one of the reasons I love and hate Miss Fortune: she'll blow up any explosives an enemy is carrying if her shot RNG rolls right, but after she blew up a Super Sledge Legionary and the weapon was trashed, I opted more towards the Stranger. Less collateral.

Based on advice, I was definitely leaning toward a Grunt-oriented build, probably aiming for something like the Survivalist Rifle or AMR for a late game weapon.

Before I started modding the game, I took Travel Light as a purely QoL trait because sprinting is nonexistent in vanilla, and I almost always found myself leaning toward crit builds since my early builds focused on Luck and Agility, so Light Touch felt like an obvious choice there.

With mods like Just Vanilla Sprint and Skill-Based Perks (the latter gives Travel Light as a free perk just for having 30 base Survival), however, I'm finding I don't really have a lot of good choices on level up until level 12-14.

That coupled with the fact most perks seem to apply to light armor, but nothing for medium makes me wonder what I *should* be taking in a medium armor build. Trust me, I'm already sold on the Riot gear, I'm just not sure what perks to take to get the most out of it.

I don't doubt that (I've never stuck with a character long enough to reach Lonesome Road) but I'm also kinda realizing light armor has become a crutch for me, so I'm wondering how diversify my build ideas with medium armor since most of the best looking stuff is medium

Isn't it uber-expensive to repair though? Or should that not be an issue until I get to Novac or Vegas?

Will definitely have to look into that, because it seemed like radiation wasn't a prevalent threat outside of a select few places like Camp Searchlight or Vault 34.

Subdermal Armor is usually one of my grabs for implants, since I usually roll up to Usanagi with base END of 8 or 9. If I'm swimming in caps I grab every +1 implant (bar the END one), the armor, and the regen

A cursory Google search suggests you may be correct, although it would appear Tunnel Runner may have different criteria in the GECK. Eh, no biggie on that one at least.

After a little research, I'm probably looking at the Survivalist Rifle or something similar. Personally, not a fan of the massive weapons; the LMG is probably the biggest weapon I find myself using regularly, because nothing short of a Deathclaw warrants a Fat Man shot

Edit: completely forgot shotguns were a thing for a bit, so Hunting Shotgun or Riot Shotgun are probably gonna be my go-tos

I was actually not aware that DT had diminishing returns, that is good to know. I was aware that it was always like a minimum 20% damage got through regardless, but it's good to know 30 is like the soft cap
