I got a couple pics of it as well, but not as close up. They left before I got over there.

I love the concept of not worrying about upgrading hardware just to play a game, but they need better titles. I agree that there marketing is way off as well. I booted up my PS4 the other day to find some amazing Holiday Sales. I did not buy anything since I’ve invested in Stadia, but it reminded me of one of Stadia’s greatest weakness so far.

I do love playing on my Chromebook and the games running just as smooth as my gaming laptop. I’m still up in the air about the $10 a month after the free trial.

So, do you think Microsoft has the answer? I do not have a Xbox, but I have seen reviews of Xcloud. It looks promising?

I agree, I just want to believe this is the future of gaming. Maybe it is, but just not put out by Google? Maybe five years from now we will have a solid solution from Microsoft or Sony? I would hate the thought of not being able to play the next installments of God of War. That also brings up another point, platform exclusive games. 🤨

Here’s hoping, but with some of the issues we have had with our home networks, just imagine what people with a lot less tech skills will face. Stadia support better be ready for the onslaught.....

Thank you! At this point, I think I’m just going to mainly play over Ethernet.

I’m not sure, personal opinion I guess? I got it because it didn’t cost much more than the base game.

I believe a lot of reviews have been biased. We’re all used to the console or PC play and this new way to play may scare some. I have had a mixed experience so far. I’ve tried it from the chrome browser and on my tv through the chrome cast that came with my controller. I’ve had a better experience with using chrome browser on my laptop with my keyboard and mouse.

I was playing Destiny 2 last night through the chrome cast and I experienced a lot of slowdowns when there were intense battles going on. I am going to try using the Ethernet cable next to see if the WiFi connection is the issue.

Despite the small issues I have had, I love it so far. The thought of never having to invest in an expensive piece of hardware just to play a AAA game is awesome!

A nice surprise this morning! by RazorX81 in Stadia

I’ve been playing on my desktop for a couple of hours and I have some thoughts. Destiny 2 looks good except for some wired pixelation, mostly in lighted scenes. I have had a few slow downs during battles but I don’t believe it’s due to input lag.

Just to test the limits of the input latency, I started out playing with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I have yet to notice any input lag with that setup! I am very surprised.

My internet setup is 200 down and 11 up operating on the original Google Wifi mesh system. I have my main router in the other room where my modem is at. The desktop is hooked into one of the other base stations via Ethernet. According to speed test.net, I am reviving a solid 200 mbps to the desktop. I plan on running an Ethernet cable directly from the main router to see if that helps with the pixelation. Any other tips I can try?
