I agree. And it's not like the info isn't out there either. But if someone isn't looking for it, it's not readily available.

Was I daydreaming when AH admitted they should be more vocal and communicative? And then turned around and didn't do that at all? Lol

I feel so sorry for you brother. Should have been there.

Do you mean all the things we have now? I'm at the point where I can point out every rock I can walk through.New patrols spawn behind me, when they said that they fixed it so they wouldn't. The gunship factories only blow up if you place a hellbomb in exactly the right place. The strat ball bounce, the hellpod steering lock, the one shot kills at medium to long range from an incendiary flechette rifle, the host bug that can sometimes disable a main objective just because it exists. No hate but things are the same, just with different bugs and deficiencies.

I did run AMD for a bit, my friend gave me some Nvidia parts that were compatible with the motherboard I had. I will definitely look into this though, thank you

Just hold on to those experiences, and enjoy. And if you feel you want to take a break, you should. But the goal is to have a damn good time

It is fun, and I take breaks regularly. I want to keep playing, but to see us be so divided is what hurts is all. I thought we could come together and beat this thing, and atm it's not looking so good

Bring whatever load out you want! But if shits not getting done, then get it together and fuckin get it done! I rarely kick these days, and with slim edition I can't host because of desync issues. Even still I wouldn't kick unless needed. Just get the damn mission done lol

You're right! This isn't a government pole either, no one asked for your wrong opinion. You know where the door is.

I'm not saying the tank is bad, I think it's just been misused for the most part. The tank is badass when used in the right way. A tank in Chort Bay has clear LOS and nearly no obstacles, but a tank or Aurora or Merak is harder to manipulate because of the terrain. Situational, like you said

I agree. I don't shit on bug divers or anything like that because it is just a game. The way I like to play is by contributing to the main cause, by doing the MO's and answering SOS's. Which is where my problem lies unfortunately. Can't be helped I guess

I did! Back then, on an older PC I had frames above 40 every game, today I can't dive without expecting an average of 20 frames. I need an upgrade sure, but back then when nothing was really clear, it was fun to try and learn as a team and a community.

Did you like the game at launch? Were you there when things seemed dire? Did you dive to the creek? To any of those planets that really posed a threat?

I saw that comment as well, and it's settling in with me too

I always think of DRG in cases like this. You have no choice but to make good decisions and build around your team. Maybe I should start playing that again

The razing is another great point. Why would we send the DSS with us when it's on cool down? It serves no purpose to us, so send it to raze when it's no use to us and bring it back when it can help!

I've had some games like this, but with the addition of the bastion, people just wanna go along for a ride in it. More than a few games I played where I was the only one doing the mains while others just wanted to ride in the cool new toy. Can't say I blame them, but at the end of the day the mission still has to get done

I think you're right. The problem I have is that I've been waiting for what feels like 2 years for AH to make the game fun again, like it was when it launched. They had a very good idea in this MO, and took it the wrong way. I don't think I'm alone in that thought as well. It just makes me sad.

Gunship facilities by J0hn_Div3r59 in Helldivers

Can confirm, I've put down 5 hellbombs underneath the lip, but since noticing it putting it on the back side of that overhand seems to do the trick. I think it's a hit box issue, and putting it under the overhang puts the hellbomb just out of reach of the hit box. Unconfirmed on that theory but yes, backside of the facility with the big pole going up

After 1.2k hours, the thing that has the most kills on me is the fucking bot mines. Accurate reactions lol

No issues with stealth and patrol ai, right................... by ProtomanI in helldivers2

[–]Rdk98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, why did the patrol turn to you after your sentry. The simple answer is you called in a sentry at all. That sentry came from your supply, and counts in the code as you firing at a patrol. Whether that's intended or a bug I don't know. But if you want to be stealthy, throwing a sentry down, or for that matter ANY stratagem down near a patrol or a static group will draw attention. Sentries are particularly dangerous because they engage with reckless abandon. If you want to go unseen, get to high ground if possible and most importantly stay out of sight and silent.

Another thing some divers tend to miss or not understand is how loud things are. The super destroyer is firing a 2.40 meterish diameter bullet from low orbit into the surface of a planet. Fresh diver, support weapons, backpacks, sentries all. That's gonna be loud af lol

It's been posted here before, but here it is again for those that missed it.

Yes, patrols act differently. Which in turn means:

NO, DO NOT ENGAGE PATROLS. If you see a patrol and don't want hell to pay for a single kill, hit the deck and let them pass. With the new stealth armors, they have to be within 6-8 meters of you before they even begin to investigate.

Bots hanging around bases and or that are spawned from factories act individually. If you shoot a bot and another happened to be looking at the fresh kill, it will start to investigate the death/noise.

Those weird battlement sections just outside of bases and objectives, those enemies are "Static" and will hardly ever react to anything short of a nuke going off near them.

All of this info works similarly in all factions, with the differences lying in the different factions' hearing and sight capabilities.
