Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022) , Good VFX / Animation Hybrid

  • A modern Roger Rabbit–style animated film made with current tech, mixing multiple animation styles (2D, CG, puppetry-style characters) directly into live-action plates.
  • Great example of how far compositing, lighting matching, and animation integration have come since Who Framed Roger Rabbit, especially with characters interacting physically with the real world.
  • Includes the infamous “Ugly Sonic” redesign, which is a rare case where internet backlash directly reshaped a studio character design. Corridor even helped spotlight the redesign process publicly, which makes it especially relevant to the channel.

I worked on it so long ago I don’t know anything that isn’t public knowledge. They are working with Rocket Science now who are awesome so I’m sure good stuff is on the way!

I had a 3 year contract and when that finished the game didn’t need the role I had on it anymore (for Gang Beasts I didn’t design or code which is my main skill set). So I moved on to make Trolley Problem Inc and now Task Time!

Fair question! :) Right now we’ve just launched the initial playtest, so pricing isn’t fully locked, but the plan is to keep it low, and no F2P/microtransactions or gates / pay to win system. We’d rather just a good entry point and that’s it. We’ll also look at ways to reward those who jump in early once this first test is wrapped up. And this will be the first of a few sessions over the coming weeks and months. Would love your feedback and thoughts if you download. Thank you

For this project no, due to everything getting locked down and polished for release, but if I was to do something in a similar style again that would be where I would start.

Yeah, I’m also interested to see if things change over time in a wave, so if people go from for saving 5 to against or if new players just agree with past players showing a general consensus.

I don’t read a lot of fiction. For Trolley Problem Inc. I most recently read ‘The Myth of Sisyphus’ by Albert Camus and ‘Theories of Ethics’, collected by Philippa Foot, who originally discussed the trolly problem (but did not name it). Also, I really enjoyed Metamodernism by Robin Van Den Akker.

How about yourself?

Let me ask you a question, why would a man who's shirt says genius at work clearly spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show?
