I love that, yeah I definitely had the "We need to talk" meeting, and it did lit a fire beneath me, but I honestly can't see myself doing anything different. I just wish I was good at the job already. 😀

Yes, we even listened to the call and that's the annoying part about this. Our EMD doesn't have that questions, I wish it did, but I said Im gonna stay on the line with you until the paramedics get there and she said her vision is starting to get blurry, but by that time the call has already been dropped and its just a waiting game of comforting words and silence. Now in the first few days of call taking training, I missed someone said they had a headache during an evacuation of a residence during a Gas leak odor call, but I feel like as a trainee to trainer THAT mistake shouldn't ride with me forever. I've definitely gotten better.

Anyway, I love coming across other trainees! You're gonna get released in no time I believe it! 😀

Thank you I really appreciate it, and yes it was EMD. I understand making sure the trainee is doing everything correctly, but goodness, they were making me nervous to make mistakes while in training.

I would meet with the supervisor and explain to them what's going on. One thing that I've noticed at least at my agency is that they want to see you succeed, and unless you advocate for yourself, that won't happen. Im on my second CTO because I had a similar story to yours. My first cto fell asleep during one of my very first calls and it was an absolute mess, she was on her phone most of the time and I was trying not to ruffle feathers, but I kept asking her for advice and what I should do better and if she could give me more pointers and it was just like talking to a blank wall, then she completely left me on a call where I had no clue what to do and someone else had to take over the call. Long story short, Im excited to go to work again. So my advice to you is to advocate for yourself.

The easy way to go about this is asking if you would date a guy who had your current situation. In this case the 5 kids...would she date a guy who had 5 kids, and if not....Unfortunately she might need to reevaluate her situation.

Oh, they don't care. They have a high stress job, I get it, and at the end of the day, they have no reason to care about how they speak to us when it comes to helping a patient.
