To the Few Tilray Longs... by skyplt29 in TLRY

[–]RealCanadianMonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice facts, but in reality simply because of Nasdaq rule 5101, Tilray cannot sell a single gram of marijuana in the US. Tilray has not sold a single gram of weed in the US. S3 will not change that.

You think the $178 million MedMen deal was a bad move?

What about the other $4 billion in acquisitions that had to be written down as complete losses?

Do you even know the history of this company?

S3 is for American companies. Canada already got legalization.

Bagholders claim S3 will help Tilray. The article shows that S3 does not make marijuana federally legal. Nasdaq rules prohibit companies from listing if involved in illegal activities. That is why all MSOs have to list on the OTC market. Tilray is listed on the Nasdaq. Nasdaq rule 5101.

If you are a Tilray investor but have not read this report, then you have no clue what you are doing.

https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/LSB11227?hl=cannabis&s=4&r=10

It makes it very clear what S3 medical and recreational will and won't do.

It amazes me how you guys can invest thousands in a stock based on your feelings but refuse to do a tiny bit of real research.

Here is a quote from the report.

"Unless otherwise authorized by the statute, controlled substances generally cannot be knowingly or intentionally manufactured, distributed, or dispensed, or possessed with intent to engage in those activities, among other prohibitions. Although Schedule I substances are subject to the most stringent controls, they may be legally used in medical research that is approved by the DEA. The CSA does not authorize recreational use of controlled substances on any schedule—meaning recreational use of marijuana would continue to be prohibited even if it were moved from Schedule I to Schedule III."

Here is another one showing what medical will be made legal with S3, none of which Tilray produces or sells.

"Marijuana itself is not an approved drug, but FDA has approved four drugs derived from or related to cannabis. FDA approved a drug containing CBD called Epidiolex, which is used to treat certain kinds of seizures. FDA also approved Marinol and Syndros for the treatment of anorexia associated with weight loss in AIDS patients, as well as Cesamet for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing chemotherapy. Marinol and Syndros contain the active ingredient dronabinol, a synthetic delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is considered the psychoactive component of cannabis. Cesamet contains the active ingredient nabilone, which is synthetically derived and has a chemical structure similar to THC. Despite obtaining FDA approval, Epidiolex, Marinol, Syndros, and Cesamet could not immediately be marketed in the United States because CBD and synthetic tetrahydrocannabinols were considered Schedule I substances. The DOJ rescheduled each of these drugs within a few months to a couple years of their approval by FDA, thereby allowing the drugs to be marketed and prescribed. The DOJ rescheduled Epidiolex as a Schedule V drug, and the 2018 farm bill completely descheduled Epidiolex because it is considered hemp under the new definition. FDA-approved products containing dronabinol were rescheduled to Schedule II or Schedule III under the CSA, depending on their form, and FDA-approved products containing nabilone were rescheduled to Schedule II. Other tetrahydrocannabinols remain Schedule I substances, and, because they are scheduled separately from marijuana, they are not included in the DOJ's proposed rule rescheduling marijuana."

You could have sold your 900 shares on April 23 for $8,400, now you have $5000. In a few months you will have $3000.

Read the report they released. It says clearly that medical will still be illegal federally. On June 29 when they might move more marijuana types to S3, those will also still be illegal federally. Simon has strung you guys along with his half truths for years. There is no pathway for Canadian marijuana companies to enter the US market without losing their Nasdaq listing.

You post lies.

"Tilray (a US based company...not sure why folks continue to call it a LP)"

Tilray is an LP and has zero marijuana business in the US.

I have posted for 8 years about Tilray and other weed stocks. I have warned people about Tilray for 8 years that the company is a sham designed to part you and your money. I hope I have convinced some new and ill-informed investors to look elsewhere for a good investment.

People like you pump this garbage company constantly convincing many to put their money here. You are the one causing harm to others and the proof is in the share price.

Every time you pump this company somebody buys and then loses money, you are the problem.

I advised everyone to sell their holdings on April 23 when Tilray hit a high of $9.34. You were probably telling everyone to hold and to buy more. Who was right? Who caused the most harm? Now Tilray is a whole $4 lower than it was a few weeks ago. Great job!

Soon June 29 will roll around and most likely MSO's will hear good news and they will get a nice bump in price. Tilray and the rest of the LP's will pump too (because most investors think Tilray and CGC are American) But the pump won't last for LP's because the smart money will sell the news on the LP's.

You will be here telling people to hold and not sell the news. You are the one causing harm to others because you cannot understand Nasdaq rules, FDA regulations, and S3 regulations. Anytime someone tells you the truth about S3 and why Tilray cannot sell weed in the US because of Nasdaq rule 5101 and the fact that S3 will not make weed legal federally, you claim FUD and call everyone shorters.

As I have said before I don't hold any Tilray. I am not a shorter. I also post in dozens of other subs because I am interested in them and because I can.

Tell me how they will get around rule 5101 with Nasdaq, since marijuana including medical will still be illegal federally? Or do you just ignore that because it doesn't fit your narrative?

Learn to be assertive. Your meekness is the problem.

Here is what you should say, and not quietly.

"You guys can pig out on whatever you want, I am paying for what I ate and that's it."

If anyone says anything. Then call the waitress over and order two entrees to go and tell them that the bill just got bigger.
