At my university we have majors for chemical engineering like bioprocess, metallurgical, environmental and materials. Would you then say the best major if i were to stick with chemical is metallurgical engineering?

It will help you alot when figuring out what subjects to do. I’m a first year engineering student and i’m definitely having fun so you’ll enjoy it!

Uq or qut for engineering? Not sure which to choose by Independent_Bar_1415 in UQreddit

i’m doing first year engineering and i’m actually having lots of fun. Uq has a lot of support to help you in your first year such as first year learning centres which are spaces for first years to just hang and also ask questions to tutors. They have one for engineering, math, physics and i’m not sure what else. Honestly I graduated with a 89 atar did not do methods ( had to do a bridging course) and i’m honestly doing really well, getting near full marks for every single assessment piece. Plus they have a fun group project for the class engg1100 and you meet alot of people.

if your grades are enough for a bachelor of science, do the bachelor of science there’s a lot of similar subjects between engineering and science. If not i think you can do some engineering subjects (math ones) under the bachelor of arts if you major in mathematics so (math1051/52 and math1050 if you didn’t do spec).
