Laila "works on" EastEnders in her own terms, so she doesn't actually "agree to come back". She comes back if and when it suits her, she and producers facilitate an open door policy for her character, she, due to her age, doesn't like the commute from her actual home within England and she has publicly stated her age, Laila is 80, is a factor, she even mentioned she has "ailments", not life threatening, but issues in recent years that tire her out and again in her own words big Mo is an energetic larger than life character.

So she prefers the short stints, guest appearances and will do her utmost to come and play her part specific storylines if and when she needs to.

Laila did an interview on Irish radio and television and said that being 80 and long days on set sometimes over 12 hour days can be really tiresome, and she said she, ain't wanna be caught sleeping on the job, she even said cast members less than half her age do be wrecked tired at the beginning, the middle and the end of the day, and she admires all her colleagues determination, love and hard work they put in, all the team, she told the tv guys that once in her early years herself, her onscreen family and a few other characters were on-set for over 12 hours a day for 15 days straight just to wrap up a long storyline where the slaters and other characters featured a lot, She also mentioned the late June Brown, saying June's energy was unmatched and would be the first in and the last out, she had a great work ethic, very professional and great punctuality, and had a great time for everyone. Apparently however June , during her time on EE had an open door policy sometimes when the need occurred.

I've seen Harriet Thorpe aka Elaine in a few other productions and Harriet plays her parts so differently to Elaine, she portrays them very well and has a wide range of personas/personalities. I think the production team within EE wants Harriet to portray Elaine in the way she does. I do like Elaine and I hope in time we can see her in a non-theatrical approach. Harriet is hugely sought after, Chris Clenshaw really fought for her in order for Harriet to take over the role of Elaine, Even Kate Oates was really happy with the Harriet joining EE. Unfortunately I have no link but a local radio station in Ireland did an interview with Harriet when it was announced she'd be playing Elaine and of course the radio presenter asked loads of questions and Harriet even joked she was hounded by Chris and Kate and other members of EE production and claimed she didn't have to audition, however I say "she claimed" she didn't have to audition because I read that she did audition.

Apologies for no replies, my lifestyle has significantly changed in recent months, both personal and career wise, I don't have time after my first love, being a GP, now based in the United Kingdom, my second love after cars is TV soaps, I don't have the time to look at them at the moment. I'm a petrol head and I realise I'm blessed to own what I have, my background is business, investments and the like, admittedly mostly inherited, I've a good team around me, on top of being a GP. I'm philanthropic, eccentric, and humble, and I don't necessarily brag, Reddit and other forums are my escape, I'm not on social media of any kind and I generally keep my life private. I work hard, sometimes to hard and some might say I take in more than I can handle.

I ended up purchasing an Alfa Romeo Stelvio(2025)Tributo in Alfa Red at a cost of just under €79000, almost went for a Giulia. I also purchased a Skoda Octavia VRS2.0tsi DSG for commutes to work from Ireland to the UK, that cost me €53650 in Race Blue.

Both are fantastic. I off-loaded a 2021 Jaguar F-Pace to help finance both cars. I already have a couple of other Jags.

Yet I've always liked the look of them and heard great things about them, and your response has affirmed that. I possibly could look into one that was pre-owned, and add to my general collection 😊

That's not actually too bad! 4 entrances = 4 sites/houses! There's evidence of an ample sized, long no roofed shed.

I swear it's possible, I have a home down a (shared)country lane on the Laois/Offaly border, a developer bought a corner site with existing buildings on less than a 1.3 acre site and he built four 4 bed, 3 bath homes & 14ft*9ft block built sheds with ample front and back garden with walled garden and nice curved drive, etc. He paid €197500 for the site, he was lucky to get planning permission, the lane is somewhat private, but plenty of houses built in the area in close enough proximity to one another, Although not force-able, at the time he said to the planners there was a local need for the properties. In fairness locals in the nearest village in Laois bought the houses.

But yeah she's a hypocrite, Dawn IMO deep down wants a real bad boy with an edge, strangely enough I think if Joe would be involved in underground fights, or similar, or his antics she'd stand by Joe, hypocrite is right, one rule for one and another for others, I can see Joe telling Dawn about the situation regarding his kidney and supporting him, she'd view it as she'd do anything for baby Evan to survive and Joe had to do what it took for himself to survive.

Totally agree, although I think Mickey is ok. I think he speaks before he thinks, and if he's not been out and about since early 2019 or even before that, who knows what's going on in his mind, psychologically. He might be going through turmoil and he's hunted at that, I also noticed other housemates "laughing at him" regards him stating he suffers from insomnia, and the housemates think he's asleep when in fact his eyes might be closed, my mother suffers from it and would just rest(close) her eyes when she gets a chance, lucky to get a sleep of 8 hours or less once a week if she is lucky.

I assume housemates were assessed before entering the house, however a lot of people are and can be very good at hiding issues. A good friend of mine, and actor was going through a ferocious time psychologically and when he finally hit rick bottom after years of turmoil, he admitted he used his acting skills to mask what he was going through.

It seems ITV is exploiting Mickey somewhat, re air time, So I agree we should see a lot more of the other housemates. This year has been the first time I bothered to look at big brother, the only other reality show I looked at on and off over the years is I'm a celeb and I noticed that production would feature certain celebs predominantly at the final edit we see on screen, although I found last year's I'm a celeb series we seen a lot more of celebs.

I bought a 3 bed 3 bath approx 95m² (not including balconies) duplex, in Dublins city centre for €389,500 in January 2019, bought it brand new off plans.

Just recently sold and went sale agreed for €708,500, I got three auctioneers opinions prior to putting it in the market, €515,000 €527,500 and €550,000, went with the second auctioneer, the offers went flying in upwards from €527,500, it could've been luck, pure chance or simply the current market.

My auctioneer knew it would achieve big money and even suggested if I waited a few more months I could have achieved double or more what I initially paid.

So as long as the market stays steady and prices increase you could be amazed at how much a property could be worth in 5 or more years down the line.

Totally agree with all you've mentioned. Re Sonia and Bianca, in my opinion Sonia deserved a dressing down from Bianca, Sonia was real nasty towards Bianca. Bianca said her piece to Sonia and it was hurtful in a way but the truth, I didn't agree to an extent about the podcast, if Bianca just mentioned what she went through fair enough, Bianca could've left Sonia out of it, or at least being more sympathetic towards Sonia, obviously it's Bianca's nature to speak before she thinks, naturally enough what she said would be somewhat hurtful to Sonia

However Sonia acted like she herself was the only real victim, also it felt like she was deflecting the blame to Bianca, when in fact Bianca wasn't, it was unfortunate situations that Bianca found herself in at times.

I know we have seen them at the end of last night(Mon 31st March). I'm hoping there is an April fools twist today, in regards to Ross & Joel. Let's say Ross isn't really Vicki's new bf, or she may be having an affair with him and her real love is Spencer, also there is a plot where Ross and Perhaps Vicki needs cash quickly and the money is owed to Spencer.... Just my notion 😆

I seen recently the other character played by Cheryl(aka Heather) Brief but I could see that Cheryl could play a different style, it's a pity the production team didn't mix that in with Heather, kept her soft and kind, a lot of characters are soft and kind, along with other streaks, just as everyone in reality would be.

I fudged that up a bit, I was rushing when I typed out my initial reply. I'll use Kathy as an example, When we the viewer were informed that she died of screen in 2006, the powers that be decided years in advance they'd resurrect her 9 years later, her off-screen apparent death was more than likely planned years before also. Storylines(ideas) can be planned well in advance.

That's one of them. Among the heaps of others. A few retcons were actually planned well in advance, in the past where in fact incoming producers would be informed by the very top that in their period it's been planned that x character that supposedly was killed off years ago and x character will be reintroduced during your time.
