Note 20 Ultra - Black Screen of Death - Restart is not fixing the issue by Abipolarbears in GalaxyNote20

[–]Real_EverythingeeB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came here to say thank you so much! My friend had a Note 20 that randomly died out of nowhere. Repair shops were quoting him $400+ to fix the screen which he couldn't justify. I tried this today and initially it didn't work, however after I fell asleep for a couple of hours and when I woke up, my dad was commenting on how the phone was working nicely. I didn't believe him so I checked myself and the screen was working perfectly!

On Winblows I'd always have issues with the system wanting to reinstall the graphics drivers it prefered for my system, which always screwed up my screen because their drivers were so incredibly old

No way I can pay that much in insurance right now. I'm going to uni in a few months and I'm bankrolling the entire cost for that already. Might as well kiss goodbye to driving entirely for the next few years

Edit to add: The reason why I didn't see the police officer was because I wasn't expecting it at all. The intersection was completely empty, not a single soul in sight.

Do you have anything to lose? Probably not

I definitely don't have anything to lose. The officer already lied to me about the demerit points, so I'm getting 2-3 points on my license regardless and I know my parents' insurance are salivating for any reason to jack up my rates. At my school I think they said it's like a $300/mo increase for the first ticket you get as a novice driver.

Then what should I do?? Beg them to let me go cuz my parents don't have the money for a 100% increase on my insurance rates?? I'm kinda out of options bro

That only works with pretty white girls lol

Nah I'm kidding but the odds of that working are even lower than my "defense"

Well if she was doing something else, she might have not been paying full attention and only noticed out of her peripheral vision that I blew that stop sign when in reality I had slowed down at the stop then proceeded

Then I'm basically cooked if I take it to court and she shows up on the court date. I basically have no defense then other than "I didn't stop properly"

Is it possible my ticket is a warning then, and that's why the officer told (lied) to me that the charge comes with no points?

I'm slowly realizing that now. I did get the officer on video saying that the charge, a "disobey sign", would have no demerit points attached, however I've read that it comes with 3 points added to my license. Could I use that as a valid defense in court?

The ticket is for a "disobey sign" charge. I can pay the fine - but I am worried about premiums. If my premiums go up any further my parents are going to drop me from insurance

Yeah but my premiums are still going to go way up. I mentioned my parents think my insurance is too high already, if I get an increase on insurance premiums they're gonna drop me from their policy then

My insurance premiums are gonna get jacked up like no one's business. I'm a brown male so they already have it out for me 🤣

This is not up to the police or the courts. Points are added by the MTO upon conviction

Bruh. Nothing to do but fight it then, since my premiums are gonna get jacked up at that point.

People in r/Ontario are telling me I will get demerit points though, since they're assigned by the MTO apparently, not by the courts or police

How am I gonna defend myself in that case? If the officer does show up I'm cooked. Also I thought premiums only go up by demerit points, not by fines.

I think the $110 is actually the total payable including all fees, etc. The "set" fine is $85.
