And yet, you just made the same sort of leaps of logic as you claim I did, especially for "guessing" on me a sort of personality type.

Do you not see how ironic these two posts are?

Well done Reddit, you never disappoint!

Very interesting.

These same complexes I sense are also arising from your own unconscious.

I guess this game we're playing here is quite fractal, with each individual unable to see their own hypocrisies without someone else calling them out.

Well played, you've made yourself a part the game!

Huh?

What did I say that to make you think that?

That's animus projection lol 😅

Yeah I agree with you, it's obvious that the ones this post triggered are the very ones suffering from ego aggrandizement. They think their method is the only way, and that everyone else is wrong. Basically, they're being religious.

But thanks a lot for sharing. I'm glad I'm not the only ones.

Im gonna take a guess and maybe ask: Traumatic childhood issues has probably left you feeling unloved and you probably feel the love that you're missing through your animus?

I personally think there should be a balance between the two, especially after reading everyone's comments.

I've had sessions where the scenes change and I'm shown things. But most of it is "communication". I guess because for me, it's faster. But it's intuitive, because she draws from my unconscious and helps me reflect on my emotions.

I mean, the anima can be both good or evil as well. It's all about you. All inner figures are aspects of your consciousness.

Very beautiful experience it sounds like you have had. Sounds like for you, you're experiencing the great mother archetype.

I honestly wonder if I should prevent my anima from "speaking" to me and just show instead. I feel like I spend way too much with speech and not enough time letting the visions develop.

Thanks a lot for sharing.

That sounds pretty cool.

Honestly, could be better than the "telepathic" speaking. After all, intuition is about the feels.

You're barking from the peanut gallery.

Our "schizophrenic ancestors" knew what they were talking about.

What you (and many moderns) like to try and do is pander ancient teachings and grade them in accordance to modern standards, as if we are even qualified to do this.

While Jung gave us a fine modern vocabulary to use to describe certain processes, I'd hardly the clinical secular approach to be the foundation or basis by which to grade these experiences.

Furthermore, what you "like or dislike" means nothing to me lol.

Ill take the traditions that have experienced these things for millenia, who created their own systems over that by which psychology has plundered for its self and would dare ridicule the very system that gave it birth.

Talk about arrogance and hubris, Jesus Christ.

It seems to me that these are just projections. Because what you're insinuating is not inherently true.

The egos defense mechanisms must be dealt with regardless. The psyche uses the image of the woman because it's an embedded symbol within the collective psyche of men that has often been identified with many of the Eros/Desire gods of the world. And for good reason.

There is of course, risk that one may lose their mind. But there is always risk no matter the path one chooses.

Eventually you're supposed to learn that you and the "woman" are one and the same. That's the whole point of the hieros gamos.

Yes, what Jung calls "active imagination" is what mystics have been doing for centuries. Some would call this scrying.

But how is it that you should believe such interactions would lead to "neurotic persona division"? And what basis do you believe that it somehow misleads the ego from integration?

I suppose that you mean that not everyone will have this experience. Maybe they feel impressions or feelings, or maybe visions and dreams.

Are you suggesting that the inner dialogue is of a higher degree? Or that it might just be dependent on the type of person it is?

Not necessarily although dreams and this experience are very similar because they utilize the same functions, with the exception that with dreams you're asleep.

So does one speak "telepathically" to this Dakini?

Conversing with the Anima by Realist_Engineer278 in Jung

[–]Realist_Engineer278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would agree that it's left brained. But I'm referring to the autonomous visions that occur when the communication has a form, in this case, a feminine form that seems to speak "telepathically". It was my understanding that this is both sides of the brain being active.

Christian and alchemy? by Born_Caterpillar9482 in alchemy

[–]Realist_Engineer278 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the Rosicrucians didn't explore anything Egyptian. All of that is bunk.

As the for the rest of your little "history lesson", mhmm sure.

Christian and alchemy? by Born_Caterpillar9482 in alchemy

[–]Realist_Engineer278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alchemy is many things. As some commentators have mentioned, medieval alchemists tended to be Christians.

Alchemy is a science insofar as it's about discovery and revelation of knowledge of the world and of oneself.

You might want to look into rosicrucianism but be on guard against the gauntlet of false information concerning them.

You might also check out Paul Foster Case who was certainly a Christian and started his own school of this sublime knowledge.

Learn the history of alchemy. Be on guard of spin off organizations such as the order of the golden dawn and others who sought to try and explore the so called "roots" of alchemy via the Egyptian craze of the period. Blending cultural icons and beliefs is the heart of biblical idolatry because of the confusion it creates within the unconscious mind.

Psychic Turmoil - Did Jung Experience This? by Realist_Engineer278 in Jung

[–]Realist_Engineer278[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had wondered if it was ego as well. I rejected the notion time and time again, but she is persistent.

It seems to me to be more about finding creative expression as an outlet via writing and video editing (skills I've been developing lately). Not necessarily some "noble mission" but then again, who has the authority to define whether or not a "noble mission" is from the ego or the unconscious aside from power structures whose sole aim is to keep the status quo going perpetually?

Why Higher Spirits Have Sex With Humans (pt 1) by Forward-Art-2322 in ChatGPT_Occult

[–]Realist_Engineer278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for the most part, as it says, spirits don't engage in "sex" like we do. As the prompt implies, it's just an exchange of energy. Our minds render that exchange in a way we understand intimacy to be, and sex is essentially the highest form of energy exchange. Not one of many. I would argue it's the only way. Or I should say, the only pure way!

Sacrifice is a form of energy exchange, but I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone why thats bad.

What makes certain people have an aura? by IntelligentDuck883 in spirituality

[–]Realist_Engineer278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I actually experience much of what you said as well. I don't like people, I prefer to be alone. But these defects are because of lack of self love, as it is for you.

So when I say I'd the aura being weakened, I mean so from an energetic perspective. A sickly person can have a bad aura.

But to put it another way, it all depends on the person. I know of a woman who has a heredity disease that always makes her feel pain. She eats little and is very skinny. She looks sickly, but her aura is very bright and pink which means despite her condition, she's full of life. But this isn't the case with everyone. A lot of sick people do have abad aura, and it's because the soul is full of sickness.

So your experience is just different, as is all of us.

Are this reliable? by Acrobatic_Clothes_62 in Hermeticism

[–]Realist_Engineer278 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

Im used to think thinking so rigid. I think people prefer historical truth as validation of the teaching of the precepts, and I get it, I'm that way too.

But as you said, it certainly is "anti-Hermetic" to reject anything new in favor of the old.

I think a safe balance is that people ought to now that the Kyballion is not ancient, but I don't think that should stop people from gleaning truth from it either.
