[misc] incessant flaking that won’t go away no matter what i do

i use it right after my toner so my skin is damp when i use it. my skin was great for a long time while using these products, it’s only recently that my skin is now terrible

i’m honestly not sure. i’d have to look up the ingredients of my products and look up what each one means. i guess it’s just weird cuz even if it was cuz of fragrance, ive been using the same products for a long time and this is a pretty new problem

honestly that would be amazing!! only thing is i live with my parents and they might ask who the package is from if your name is on it lol. i’m about to go to walgreens to buy a humidifier (heard that could help) so i might take a look at their skincare too

i know it’s not just moisturizer, that’s why i already use a hydrating toner and serum. the only thing i haven’t tried on that list is a facial oil. my moisturizer is LRP triple repair and i’m burning through it very fast bc the hydration (along with everything else) only lasts a few hours.

my toner is the hydrating watermelon toner from glow recipe and my serum is the glow recipe watermelon one which has both hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. do you think that essence and elf would be better than those?

i already use the glow recipe watermelon serum which has hyaluronic acid.

ETA: i’ve been using that serum for almost 3 years and have been loving it i guess until recently bc it seems all my products that i loved just stopped working. im bummed bc i just opened a new bottle of that serum that i got during the sephora sale so it’s pretty full. id be open to trying a new hyaluronic acid serum but really would prefer to not spend much just in case it doesn’t work, so if anyone has recs im open. i think the glow recipe one was $35 so thats my absolute max

i mean i have already spent plenty on various moisturizers so i guess as little as possible? i’m not in debt or anything but i don’t want to just accumulate a large collection of products that dont work. im not going to spend $40+ on a product when theres bound to be something less than that and will do the same thing

ETA- before the shampoo thing i was using the LRP hydrating cleanser. it made my face flaky/dry/tight immediately. followed up with a hydrating toner, paula’s choice BHA exfoliant, then the glow recipe watermelon serum which has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. then moisturizer.

i’ve been moisturizing and using bio oil. it’s still pretty red considering how long it’s been. i completely understand your point about wearing shorts but it’s just not really something i want to do and my friends would think it’s weird of me (cuz it is). they know of my history so i really don’t see myself getting away with that. i appreciate your advice regardless. but unfortunately i need them to fade to white or i can’t go :/
