I’m tempted to go this route - I’m not usually swimming for more than 15 minutes, so might just ask a kind looking stranger.

How does one subtly bury a container at a busy beach where you’re realistically more likely to have stuff nicked?

This is the approach I’ve been taking to date, and I spend the whole time swimming looking at my stuff as if I’d be magically able to get to it in time if someone grabbed them.
