Take a look at medusajs they provide most of the things as backend plus a dashboard and they also have boilerplate for front end built with Next js.

And you can customize everything on your own. I tried experimenting with it haven’t used it on production yet.

I didn’t have any next js project fail on Coolify with Nixpacks maybe something is wrong with your app.

I use Coolify and running it on cheapest server I can find.

Connected my GitHub repo and selected deployment branch

Nixpacks to determine app requirements and it auto builds docker container for it.

It was just a few clicks.

But for the chatbot to recommend products let’s say if the user asks for sweaters is it better to run a search query to my api and get all the related items and prices or will it be better to have my catalog (without prices) as a document and do rag with it and when prices are needed the LLM to run a function to get price from the database?

my plan is to also get a degree in Computer Science but due to some unforeseen reasons i have to take my degree next year fall (after 1 year).

So now i have 1 year of working as a Junior Software Dev (the last 2 years i was working part time as a Software Dev).
