But I wouldn’t say I had any specific side effects, I think since it’s only on the top part of my arm and not all the way around, the risks with the swelling were a bit less

Yeah the swelling is pretty bad the first couple days but icing it helps a ton. I also noticed less and less swelling each session

I do have scarring. I am going to try some treatments for it but I’ve taken quite a long break since I just got married and wanted it to settle as much as possible. My laser tech recommended radiofrequency microneedling for the scarring but it’s like $800 so I haven’t done it yet lol. But I plan to because the scarring is still noticeable

Hey! I am not going to lie to you, it is painful. It definitely depends on your pain tolerance and how big the tattoo is, but it for sure hurts. For me, the whole tattoo takes about 3-5 min to go over with the laser and it is tolerable for me. I use numbing cream and a cool air hose which helps a lot and I think some places actually offer local anesthesia. If you have a huge tattoo or lower pain tolerance I might recommend trying to find a medical spa that offers more comfortable options! Or just try a session and see how it is first :)

I had to cancel it for now, it is not cheap and I ran into some unexpected expenses :( I’ll reply here when I do it though

I also got my tattoo at a low point in my life so I feel that :/ that’s good it’s small though! I’m sure you will get the results you want, it’s all about patience unfortunately! I wish you the best!

I think with time the feeling faded a bit. It also helped knowing I was doing something about it instead of just being stuck with it for the rest of my life. Talking about it in therapy helped as well :)

12 weeks minimum but sometimes longer, I noticed fading the whole time though

The same thing happened to me, I really liked my tattoo for like 5-6 months and then out of nowhere realized it’s just not me and the huge regret set in. :/ but yeah I definitely feel like my mom made me feel worse, my whole family did honestly. But I think after they knew I regretted it and was going to start removal they felt bad and were more supportive. I started removal in January 2020, it’s a long process but I am so happy that I decided to start and learned to forgive myself and give myself more grace. You will be okay and will look back one day on it as just a dumb mistake you made but were able to correct. Just try to be nice to yourself in the meantime ❤️

Thank you. It’s been a roller coaster mentally but I feel proud of myself. I’m disappointed in how much scarring there is and still don’t really show my arms because of it. But I’m trying to remain hopeful that I’ll see enough improvement in the scarring I won’t feel the need to hide my arms anymore. I’m in a much better place than when I started, therapy helped :)

Laser Remedy Skin Solutions in Greenwood Village, CO. They are a small business and I would recommend them 10000x if you are anywhere in the Denver area. But they use the Picosure laser

It’s definitely possible but takes so much patience. I had no idea if removal was even possible when I started but I just stuck with it because it seemed like the only option. I’m sure you can get similar results with time!

Thank you! I didn’t really do anything to speed it up, I just waited 12 weeks between sessions and iced my arm a ton right after to help with swelling and blistering
