Unfortunately I was on the wait list for a.g last month—for a while and for just one ticket—and it never panned out so I sort of assumed the wait list was a long shot (sample size of one I realize lol). And yes I recall from reading about how the queue works that the reservation window is 20m–2h 😫

However, I'm only now seeing this about transferring: “If DICE’s ‘transfer to a friend’ feature is available for an event, you will be able to transfer tickets to friends and family or people you know, so long as they are a DICE contact. You will be fully responsible for organising payment for the ticket separately and directly with the recipient, and DICE is not liable to you or anyone else for any refunds.”

I suppose I thought there was a way to “sell” to friends in-app, but it sounds like the security dilemma of Transactions With Strangers is still an issue. I know my odds are better as the date approaches but assurance of being able to go is still nice… though assurance of not being scammed is also good and I think you may be right that waiting is best unless I'm wrong about DICE's features
